I had a dream last night that woke me up.
I have a boyfriend who I am not physically attracted to, so no intimacy, but he is always here for me.
I am in the process of moving and getting a second job.
I was at my new job in my dream and my boyfriend came in and gave me an engagement ring, but there was no diamond in the ring. I thought it was a cruel joke and it woke me up.
Can you tell me what that dream could possibly mean?

receiving a ring as a gift foretells of an important new friendship or new love interest.
Diamonds really are not fortunate omens in dreams, the fact that the ring does not have one is very telling, if in real life you cannot afford a diamond, but you perceived the diamond missing in the dream, this pertains to your financial situation, maybe you will not be profiting financially so much as you thought you would with the second job, this is also reflected in the fact that it shows anxiety- (the diamond missing) something not as expected will happen
.
I do not think there is a romantic future for you and your friend- something else is coming along for you in the love area- so just keep being friends with him that is all there is to it.
The important message in the dream is not your relationship with your friend, but a worry about your financial situation and a message of new love or friendship that might blossom into something else.

If you have a boyfriend that you aren't physically attracted to - then that is a problem. I've done that route before - and it was terribly hard to break up with him. He was devestated and angry that I had used him just to meet my emotional needs, while knowing full well that I wasn't physically interested in him.
I think that the diamond-less ring represents two things: 1) The ring itself is an offer of marriage and a continuation of the relationship that he ihas with you. 2) The lack of diamond represents what is currently lacking in the relationship - physical attraction. A ring is a ring - but it needs the diamond to fully represent the engagement.
By being mad at him, you are essentially blaming him for this lack of attraction, as if it is something that he should have - but he doesn't.
A relationship without physical intimacy is good - God actually asks us to do that. However, if you aren't physically attracted to him - then that is a sign that he isn't the guy for you.

The ring without diamond is an interpration of your emotional guilt. Without the diamond, it's imcomplete. Although your boyfriend may not realize what you are feeling about him in a physical sense, perhaps this the discomfort and guilt you are struggling with...not wanting to lose him/hurt him. But the dream is putting you in the role of feeling what you think he might be feeling if your true feelings become revealed to him. The diamond-less ring is YOU.

Yeah, your consciousness is telling you this is what it's like to be on the flip side. Just as your true affection for him is a joke and cruel, so it would be if he gave you a wedding ring with no diamond. Now, you know how he really feels.
