Is there a way illegal immigration can be stopped. So we can get back our resources and not be in debt.?

I dont really think there is a moral way to do it, but I have a theory saying that if USA restarts the draft for war all the illegal immigrants will leave because they dont want to fight for USA its not their country, but I would like to know others people solutions no matter how unorthidox may be.

CBO plans to release a more detailed and formal cost estimate for the legislation in the next several days. In the meanwhile, we can provide the following preliminary information:

+ CBO and JCT estimate that enacting S. Amdt. 1150 would increase federal direct spending by $13 billion to $17 billion over the 2008- 2012 period and by $32 billion to $38 billion over the 2008-2017 period. Over the 10-year period, about 4 percent of those totals for direct spending would be for Social Security benefits, which are classified as off-budget. The single largest component of the expected direct spending is for outlays from refundable tax credits, estimated by JCT.

In spite of what Jorge Bush says, it is easy! All you have to do is ENFORCE OUR CURRENT LAWS! That means you go after the employers. If the job market dried up, the illegals have to leave.

I heard an interview on MSNBC that really pissed me off. They were talking about the wonderful new bill in AZ that would close down a business after two violations of hiring an illegal.

Well, this @SS claimed that this bill was unfair. She stated that there may be a company that has only 1 illegal employee (like that's going to happen). The rest are citizens. So they close down the company because of that 1 illegal employee. "That's not fair" to the other employees. WHAT A MORON! You fire the illegals and don't do it again! Geeze, is that so tough!?

We need to adopt the new AZ bill on a federal level!

I would do two things. Put up guard towers along the entire southern border. Lease them out to hunters who want to target practice and get meat. That way the towers are paid for by people who probably don't want the illegals here anyway.

This will curb illegal immigration more so than anything else proposed.

Second pass a national law that says "you catch them you keep them for 7 years." Free labor! Anyone: private citizen, government agency or legal entity can catch as many as they want.

If you don't like the idea of shooting illegal invaders then you probably won't like the idea of using them as free labor. But then why buy products made in China with prison labor?

This second aspect is really all that is needed to end the insanity of illegal immigration. Most of them would make a beeline for the border.

This is also a more fiscally sound proposal than anything the puppets parading about as politicians are offering.

Illegal immigration can be stopped cold if the government does two major things to begin with. First, secure the border with an inpenatable wall and guards who have been given the right to shoot anyone trying to come into the USA illegally. Next, fine the people who employ these illegal workers.....not just a few dollars, but big bucks! Second offense, prison.

Sure. Turn the whole country into a maximum security prison. No one would want to come here then. Plus, we wouldn't have to worry so much about terrorism. I hope we have not gone so far toward favoring safety over freedom in this country that you cannot detect the sarcasm above! But cheap labor IS a resourse and tax revenue is the ONLY way we will get out of debt. Sorry, but that is reality, no matter how politically incorrect it may seem.

The USA gets as many illegals as it is prepared to employ. Stop exploiting the illegals as a source of cheap (almost slave) labour and employ Americans at a fair wage. If you prosecuted the employers and stopped the employment opportunities for illegals, your problem would disappear overnight. No government has the guts to do it as many of the rich exploiters support politicians they know will leave them alone.

2. Stop providing wellfare payments to illegal aliens.
3. Stop providing food stamps to illegal aliens.
4. Stop allowing illegal aliens from attending public schools.

The solution is stronger enforcement against those who employ illegals. You don't have to hit every employer, just enough of them that most stop hiring illegals. No jobs, no incentive to be here.

Best way to finish with illegal immigration is no giving them jobs, not allowing them to rent houses/departments, not allowing their sons/daughters at public schools.. doing that would help alot.
