Name a driver you think has done well in his racing career, but hasn't been given enough credit for his accomplishments. There are too many drivers who show and hold talent and skills but seemed to be overlooked and not credited for their skills.

Jeff Burton - great driver, by far extremely smart. He knows more about those cars than most out there. Have you ever watch all his video's on his website? It shows how smart he is right there. Also, he's a advocate in safety and not just for the stock cars. He is a advocate in child safety also. These past couple years he's really picked up in his career, he finished 7th in points last year after years of not making the chase for a couple years and this year so far he's been in the top five. But he's not mentioned much in the media about his skills or talent. At least he got some attention in Texas being the 1st repeat winner there.

Jr, simply because people tend to think he got where he was due to his name, and people also think he was handed everything. But tend to overlook things like the stats which are very similar to other top drivers, compare him to Matt Kenseth and you'll notice that the stats are pretty much the same. Look at it this way a famous name doesn't give you the ability to score a top-5 finish with most of the front end of the car gone(spring Martinsville race last season) or a Daytona 500 win.
Yeah I'll go with Truex also, I think now we are seeing what Jr. saw when he signed Martin to Chance 2.

With all due respect, Michael Waltrip is terrible and is given the EXACT amount of credit that he is due. One underrated driver, so far in 2007, is Martin Truex Jr. and this is from a Gordon fan.
