ok so you will argue that like a painting, was created we know this because it is here, and therefore must have a creator the painter as it where but then what created god, I often here the answer 'nothing' or 'god is and has always been' but if god is so great that he can do all these things control space time etc etc etc then is it not conceivable that the universe doesn't need a creator if the universe pails into insignifigance compared to god who has no creator is it that hard to see that this universe does not need a creator at all?

I understand that not all christians think like this but either way I really do want to hear your take on it

It doesn't matter whether the created thing needs a creator it has one. All things are created and all things have a beginning and an end but the Creator of everything which has no beginning and does not perish. We know for a scientific fact that the universe had a beginning and it has and end...this proves it had a creation a beginning. God does not, neither does he corrupt and die. Those who seek the truth receive a gift from God called faith and through faith comes revelation and a relationship with a real God, He will reveal to you his truth.

The watchmaker analogy:

Firstly, a watchmaker creates watches from pre-existing materials, whereas God is claimed to have created the universe from nothing. These two sorts of creation are clearly fundamentally different, and the analogy is therefore rather weak.

Secondly, a watchmaker makes watches, but there are many other things in the world. If we walked further along the beach and found a nuclear reactor, we wouldn't assume it was created by the watchmaker. The argument would therefore suggest a multitude of creators, each responsible for a different part of creation (or a different universe, if you allow the possibility that there might be more than one).

Well - we perceive the world that way because it is true for us. We have a begining and an end. We are created and destroyed in a sense.

God, in order to be eternal, has to be self-existent. That is, without begining or end.

The universe is theorized as to having a begining and ultimately an end. I realize there are different opinions here but if you believe in this sort of thing it makes sense that something eternal can create and control something this is not eternal. Because the eternal being is infinitely greater than that which is finite.

But - who knows. I could be wrong.

I believe God. He says He created the world. He says that He has always been and has no creator. I have no problem believing him. I have studied and tested the Bible for many, many years, and have found it to be a reliable authority for my life. So, I simply believe God and take Him at His word.

Blessings.

God never required a creator/beginning, becuase God trancends (is beyond) time and space, therefore, God is timeless/eternal and infinite! Having said this, God has always existed! God bless.

Well. Everything goes back to whether you believe the Bible. He is the Alpha and Omega, th beginning and the end. He has always been and will always be. Also, if you believe the Bible, Genesis explains how God made the universe.

Psalm 90:2
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
