Though the disproportionate numbers of some nationalities among illegal immigrants is an issue, the main issue is the sheer number of illegals. Where they are coming from is immaterial. If there were 9 million Russians or 9 Million Persians or 9 Million Vietnamese or 9 million Sudanese in the country illegally, it'd be just as big a problem as 9 million Mexicans.

Never, ever, before in the history of this country have we been bombarded with such huge numbers of legal immigrants, let alone the illegal ones. I mean do you understand that? Never, ever. Kind of like would you rather chew your food and eat your meal or have your gullet force fed 1 years worth of food in 1 shot? How much imported poverty do we need? How many educated people do want brought in so your out of a job before you ever get through college to compete for it? Latin Americans aren't the sole issue.....it's the sheer number!!!! I know they keep saying.....well....the baby boomers when they die. Hey.....we ain't dead yet!!!! We had our "replacement" children so there's not a shortage of people. All this darn "reform" is nothing but importing CHEAP LABOR from wherever they can get it. WAKE UP!!!! Non-educated, educated.......just running you out of your own country for a buck and destroying the quality of life for the majority of people. This whole homeland security and everything else is joke. There were less people here illegally before 911 than what there is now. They have PURPOSLY not enforced our laws to get this wealth of disposable people to shove around. There's no need for "reform" except to speed up the lengthy process for those who are here legally and have people to enforce the laws and follow the back-sides of these greedy businesses to be sure American citizens aren't being denied work. I wish they'd just pack their bags and go to a third world country and do their business instead of turning us into one.

Oh ya....I love having hords of who knows what comming over the border, not knowing if I'm feeding my dog plastic or brushing my teeth with anti-freeze or eating something to kill me or now...driving a car with known defective tires to do my part for "globalization". God don't ya just love CHEAP!!! What would we do without CHEAP? Problem is.....NOTHING IS CHEAP!!!!

For the umpty-umpth time, this has *nothing* to do with anyone's country of origin. It's about a 20-million strong burden on our economy and security.

Follow the link below to see for yourself the cost in real dollars that illegal immigration has brought the law-abiding American taxpayer.

Obviously you are confusing racism with the people of one country demand that it's borders be secured and respected and that people entering our country respect our laws. "Latin Americans" are not the issue. Now if you are saying Americans of Latin descent, no problem, love having ya! If you are talking of people of Latin descent that violated our laws and crossed our border illegally through whichever mechanism they used to violate our law, they are not Americans. Do the legal methods of entry need more control, more oversight, more enforcement...9/11 tells us yes, but that does not justify 12-20 million people violating our laws nor does it constitute rationalization to give those 12-20 million criminals a fast track to legal status.

People are against immigration because of a widespread belief that globalization is bad. Immigration is not a huge problem, they use less than 1.5% of services. Immigration should be reformed, so that people don't have to be here illegally to work hard and earn a living.

Hell No. Because even though latinos aren't the only illegal immigrants all you hear on this forum is "Go back to Mexico." I don't hear "Go back to Canada" or " Go back to Europe"
