Go to a dermatoligist and ask for retin-a. It works very well, and in the meantime, drink LOTS of water and go on the salmon diet. (Search for the salmon diet on google) It works!

I had really bad skin for a long time, but I've been using the Acnefree system for a few years and my skin is clear 90% of the time. (Exceptions being around my period or when I'm really stressed.) It's basically generic Proactiv. That worked better for me than any other acne stuff. A lot of acne medication has a lot of alcohol in it, which may actually irritate your skin more. Neutrogena just made my acne worse. Also, I use a type of Clean & Clear face lotion that mattes the skin, and top it off with an SPF 45 sunscreen made for the face.
That's all I can offer. Basically, you might want to switch to a different type of face wash routine, and I'd really recommend Acnefree or Proactiv.

Use proactive, everyone said it's the best for acne. You should get better skin in just weeks. It's not expensive either for a product that works. Well I personally used proactive before when I had acne 2 years ago. It actually gave me more pimples and the repairing lotion made my face look a little oily. But it definately made my skin a lot smoother. I stopped using it after a few weeks and my acne started disappearing. I don't know if it takes a while for it to work, but I don't have anymore acne problems. I still have some acne scars on my face, but foundation and concealers covers it all up. And I am 15 right now. You should give it a try.

If you are breaking out, you don't need a night cream - most of them are too heavy. You can use a light moisturizer or gel before going to bed.
Since you've got breakouts on your face & chest - you ought to go see a doctor about some anti-biotics & to make sure there isn't a hormonal imbalance at the root of this.

try to use only one treatment, all the treatments your using may react with eachother and cause irritation. use a higher spf when you go out. like 40 or 45.
