If I am a Christian, I'll want to do good deeds. And God said I should do them.

I don't think it really matters. Helping is helping. Neither way is really for personal profit, and there are no strings attached, so I don't see why it matters.

But, if you are a Christian, then you will probably say that it is both: that you will WANT to do good things because God said to and because he has shown those same good things to you. A "pass it on" kinda thing.

Neither.

C. Because they need it.

Why should anything in the world revolve around your own person when you're helping someone? Even worse, why should someone else (god or otherwise) have to persuade you to help other people?!

How about both? I want to help others because this is what I desire to do, out of my love for The Lord and for the people I serve!

God does not tell us to do anything (here is your favorite answer) we all have free will! But once you are saved and Jesus is in your heart you want to do good things and help those in need:)

Because you want because it pleases your God.

B. if I was only doing it because I was told, and especially with a bad attitude, then I've fallen far short of God's will.

Doing good things to the people who are in need is act of humanity. Act of Love, anything an act of love is act of God.

God is kind, forgiving, all-believing, all-bountiful. You share the love of God by loving another individual and helping them in need.

I would help other people in need as I feel they are my kin, and I do things to other people, as I'd lookforward for them to help me(if I were in their situation). Very basic reason. Abolition of inequality and make the person very equal of character and person equal to me is another reason.

Altruism is good because it is... plain and simple. Ultimately if you do virtuous deeds not only do you make others happy, you become happier by default.
