This world is like a plane who's wings have caught fires and is beginning its rapid descent (watch the news). The faithful have donned parachutes. The rest are just sitting there....in denial...who knows, maybe they'll "ride it out"?
To not believe is to take a greater leap of faith than the leap of faith they claim of Christianity. What's even more nonsensical is that they will take chances with their very lives and salvation upon this foundation of sand.
The truth is they have no proof. Unfortunately after we have bailed some will still be there on the plane waiting for proof.
God bless

Can't prove a negative.
The burden of proof rests on the person making a claim.
As for showing the falsehoods of religion, all you need to do is compare their creation stories to scientific understanding of earth and the emergence of the human species.
Unless you do a lot of non-literal interpretation (stretching), no religion says that Earth is billions of years old, that there are trillions of galaxies, that evolution occurred, or that the Big Bang happened.
But all creation stories reflect the societies in which they were made.
It's easy to see problems with religious belief. It's not so easy to imagine a universe without a god, but it seems unlikely considering how things run on natural processes by increasing orders of complexity.
P.S. To the crap post above. Einstein was not a theist. He rejected the notion of a personal god. What he believed in could be comparable to pantheism, but nothing close to christianity.
What makes you think that a god exists and that you know his name, practices, or what it expects of our species?

Believers are the ones trying to tell *me* that there's a God, and that *I* should believe in Him. Now if I don't buy into their story, where does it become MY responsibility to prove their claims wrong? You can believe in a magical, invisible super-being all you want. If the believer is unable to provide me with a good reason to accept the existence of their god, it is unreasonable to expect me to construct a disproof of it — or even care much about the claim in the first place.

In order to be 100% sure that God doesn't exist, then you'd have to have intimate indepth knowledge about every place at every time, making you... well.... God. What a horrible excuse for logic.
What if scientists didn't believe in things they've never seen or proven? What if they said, well there's no proof that it exists, so I know for sure it's not there and I'm not going to bother to look?
The vapid logic of athiests befuddles me.

God has given us all the proof we need - just look at the earth, the sky and the sea! Man is without excuse for not knowing God.

Oh for crying out loud! Why do Christian keep asking this? Didn't anyone ever tell then you CAN'T prove a negative?
Where is your proof that god is real? Outside of the Bible? Have you ever seen him? Heard his voice? Touched him? I'll be happy if you could say you tasted or smelled god! YOU HAVE NO PROF THAT GOD IS REAL.
I don't accept as fact things I do not have evidence for.

Where is your evidence that a god or gods exist? Since neither of us has proof, we are at an impasse. The logical thing to do is to make no assumptions and look for more information.

Dumb question of the day.
At least science has pushed religion and god back into the gaps. At least science questions things. What do you do?
You simply accept what you were told as a child without evidence and then dare to pose a question like that.
Gullible yanks, I love 'em.

I have about the same amount of proof you have that your deity exists. There is no empirical proof on either side of the debate so until there is, he does not get acknowledged as an actual entity.

It's in the same drawer you keep your proof that Zeus does not exist. Check there before you ask us to prove a negative again.
