Dear Dr. G: that is one of the sweetest testimonies I've heard! Praise His Name and say "Hi" to your hubby for me :)

No. It's not real love if they don't give it freely. You should never have to talk somebody into loving you, they should do it because they want to.

I'm not.

I've never tried to win someone's love either. If they love you they do. I am in love right now and honestly sometimes that scares me.

*hugs rp* I've been there, done that. Love will find you when you least expect it. When I was ready to give up on love it found me. It is a the truest love I've ever felt. I don't include my children because that is so different. I love my children very very much and they know it.

No, I've got a stupid stinking infatuation with a man who lives halfway around the world. He likes me, and I like him. I wouldn't go so far as to say love, because we've never met in person. We've talked online and telephone occasionally for quite some time. I can't go to where he lives, and he can't come to where I live due to other obligations that we both have, so the whole thing is futile. .. .but even still, I'm not ready to look for love anywhere else either.

No, love did find me quite accidentally. Figuring out what to do about that is quite another problem.

I've purposely done the winning of someones love before. This is a farce and not the basis of an enduring relationship.

I am blessed with loving family and friends, but I have to win my horse completely over so he does not throw me on my 57 year old butt. Some try to tell me a touch of the crop and a little more training would help, but I just want him to love me.

Am I trying to win someone's love? Well, no. But I have a friend who I admire and whose intelligence and positive outlook make me interested in getting to know him better. (We attended a lecture together once, we have a mutual friend, and he and I are just in email contact with one another.) I pray to Allah that if it is a good thing, then may Allah bless it and move a "relationship" forward; and if not, then may I know it's not Allah's plan for the two of us (and for my children). We met four months ago. I really think it's not going to progress beyond the friendship stage, though, and quite frankly, I've just got to be patient and wait to see what Allah has got in store for me. Whatever it is, I trust that it's best for me and my children.

This guy is truly awesome, but I don't think anyone can "win" the love of another.

In fact, I think it's dangerous to start thinking of another person as a "prize" or a "reward."

No. I am as I am, and each person will love me or won't. An attempt to "win" love as though it were a chip in a game of chance or a prize at a carnival cheapens it and throws everything out of balance.

Just the opposite. My husband had to win my heart back, after Christ won him to His. He couldn't give me love when he didn't have any to start with. So Christ gave him an endless supply so that he can pour it back into our marriage. Now I'm in love ... all over again. =^D Have a blessed, blessed day Ramjet!

Yeah. Because she is perfect in every way. So perfect that she is intimidating, but I still enjoy talking to her...trying to get the courage to ask her out.

Nope. He won my love 20 years ago!
