I want to fly out of Des Moines, Iowa or Omaha, Nebraska and go to San Diego, California. I just dont want to pay alot.

Try this website: CheapoAir.com. You can also look on expedia or orbitz or even priceline.

Also, if you can manage to get your tickets 2 weeks ahead of time, they would be much cheaper. For Northwest it's 10 days before departure date, otherwise, the price literally doubles.

Always book through the airline's site because there is no booking fee and thrid party fee.....like orbitz has a 10 dollar booking fee.......also, the airlines should have like a price guaranteed to be lower than third parties

Travelocity; expedia etc do a search for cheap flights then go to the airlines directly to save $$$
