How can you be in Heaven and yet still be married?
It doesn't make sense to me...

I mean, --- I thought the whole point of going to Heaven was NOT to be tortured for eternity?...

Not everyone goes to heaven. The bible says that most will stay on earth and finish making it a paradise (the job Adam & Eve were supposed to do before they sinned). This is found in Isaiah 65:20- 25. Those who do go to heaven will not be married. Marriage is designed specifically for humans, not for spirit creatures. (Matthew 22:30)

Short answer, no! Jesus said, when asked about this, that there is no marriage or people given in marriage in heaven. It is a spiritual kingdom; however, we will know our mates and other family members, because the Bible says we will "know as we are known", in other words, we will recognize our friends and relatives in heaven, but will not be on an intimate basis, sexually speaking. Even when a disciple of Jesus asked a hypothetical question, as if a person were married and spouse died, and he remarried before dying, which one would be considered his wife in heaven? Jesus said there is no marriage in heaven, as I said above, but, he said, hypothetically speaking, that if there were such a relationship, then the last spouse would be the one considered the real and actual spouse of the person. So, the first spouse, if it were possible to have marital relationship in heaven, would not have any claim to that spouse. The only recognized spouse would be the last that was married to him/her at the time of death or predeceased him/her and the remaining spouse never remarried while on earth. I hope this helps your understanding a little better. And some people think if their husband/wife dies, that if they never remarry, they will be reunited as husband/wife in heaven, but as I said, Jesus was very clear that the marriage contract ends at death "till death do you part". There is no marital relationship in the life to come, period. And you are not still married if your spouse dies before you do on this earth, so you are free to remarry. It is not betraying anyone. And you are not committing adultery if you do remarry. I have had some friends express confusion over that, mainly because they did not want their mother or father on earth, to remarry when their parent died.

The answer is No and The Bible answers this very question because the Sadducees asked it exactly of Jesus. Mark 12:18-25
"18Then the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question. 19"Teacher," they said, "Moses wrote for us that if a man's brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man must marry the widow and have children for his brother. 20Now there were seven brothers. The first one married and died without leaving any children. 21The second one married the widow, but he also died, leaving no child. It was the same with the third. 22In fact, none of the seven left any children. Last of all, the woman died too. 23At the resurrection[a] whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?"
24Jesus replied, "Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God? 25When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven."

Matthew 22:24-32 Read these scriptures for the words of Christ concerning this question. It was also asked by the Saducees, [ A Jewish sect] who did not believe in ressurection. They meant it to trip up Jesus regarding the scriptures. His entire answer is good for you to read. However, your answer lies in vs. 30, "For in the ressurection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven."

We will be changed to enter heaven. Our corruptible flesh could never behold the glory of God. The first book of Corinthians 15:35-58 tells the answer to your second question. vs. 44 "It is sown a natural body (buried) it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. vs. 50 (a) Now this I say, brethern, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; vs. 52 "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorrruptible, and we shall be changed.

Again, you need to read it all for yourself. Think of it like changing your clothes. Better yet, I once worked in a clean room for Motorola. We had to cover our bodies from head to toe to send the silicon wafers through a gold etching process or other chemical processes that would eventually lead to the chips in components for phones, etc, without contaminating them. When I first arrived I wondered how I would know my co-workers. A very short time later, I kid you not, I knew people from across the room. Though they had "changed" into their covering I recognized them all.
You will know your loved ones.

The Bible says no. Jesus says "for in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like nagels of God in heaven". I am not too sure what life will be like in Heaven but if you have a good marriage in this life, the life after that will be much better. I can only imagine that we will have relationships much better than marriage.

No.

Luke 20:27-38

Luke 20:27-38
27 Now there came to Him some of the Sadducees (who say that there is no resurrection), 28 and they questioned Him, saying, "Teacher, Moses wrote for us that IF A MAN'S BROTHER DIES, having a wife, AND HE IS CHILDLESS, HIS BROTHER SHOULD MARRY THE WIFE AND RAISE UP CHILDREN TO HIS BROTHER. 29 "Now there were seven brothers; and the first took a wife and died childless; 30 and the second 31 and the third married her; and in the same way all seven died, leaving no children. 32 "Finally the woman died also. 33 "In the resurrection therefore, which one's wife will she be? For all seven had married her." 34 Jesus said to them, "The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage, 35 but those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; 36 for they cannot even die anymore, because they are like angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. 37 "But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed, in the passage about the burning bush, where he calls the Lord THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, AND THE GOD OF ISAAC, AND THE GOD OF JACOB. 38 "Now He is not the God of the dead but of the living; for all live to Him."

I agree with everyone else in that I don't think we will be married in heaven.

In heaven we will all have new bodies. I don't know what they will be like, but there will be no sickness or pain. So given that I think we will know people to the extent we knew them on earth. Not physically, but how well we knew the person on the inside. Like their spirit and soul. What they liked and disliked and how they thought.

Until the resurrection, one will only be an immaterial soul and it is a mystery how such souls will be able to communicate. Thomas Aquinas, a famous christian philosopher, postulated that the Godhead would actually infuse knowledge into the soul, as the soul would be without the proper senses (sight, sound, etc) which are required for the intellect to be able to grasp something, as it would when united to its proper form: a body. Its a mystery. I think, until we are actually experiencing it, we won't know.
