side and my dads side. My dads side are close, but i only talk to my one cousin. Can I only invite my aunts and uncles and not my cousins? or do I have to invite my cousins? Each of my aunts and uncles have the average of 4 kids, pluse there siblings. Would it be fair if i only invite my one cousin an not the rest?

You only "have to" invite the people you want there.
I highly recommend that you don't invite one cousin, but not others...Your other family members may get word of this and be offended that their kids weren't included.

When I get married I will be inviting only two sets of cousins because they will be in the wedding and maybe a 5th cousin cuz she invited me to hers. haha My aunts and uncles will be happy to have some time away from their kids to party. Your family seems a little more formal so I would talk it over thoroughly with your parents and see how pertentious your family members might become.

I only invited aunts and uncles and a few cousins that I'm close to. It really didn't seem to be a problem. None of the aunts and uncles ever questioned us not inviting the cousins. We decided that if they asked to bring them, they could, but otherwise we just sent the invites to the aunts and uncles. None of them brought their children, it worked out fine.

Invite all the aunts and uncles, but only the cousins you are close to. Don't worry, this happens all the time... people understand.

maybe invite the older cousins, the adult ones? this does sound kinda tricky, people will say well why didn't my kids get to come

dont play these games that families play sit down with your man and only invite the poeple you really want to be there dont invite poeple just cuz and dont worry about them being mad cuz well you dont talk to them a lot anyway. i did this and it was a disaster
