Plucking is one of the few methods which actually encourages the hair to grow stronger.
They get to the stage where the only effective method of dealing with them is shaving.
Facial (and also body) hair on women comes about in the same way as on men because of
1) your body being sensitized, before you were even born, to testosterone -- doesn't happen to all girls, but does to many
2) your body producing high levels of testosterone
The growth rate and coarseness of the hair depends on just how much testosterone is circulating in your bloodstream.
Steer clear of bleaching -- when someone sees you against the light you'll look as if you have a glowing moustache and/or beard.
As far as removing it is concerned it's worth remembering that
* Waxing, plucking, threading, epilating all pull the hair out by the roots and where the growth is hormonally-driven can actually stimulate a dormant follicle into producing more hair quicker. They also distort the root if done repeatedly, leading to hair growing at strange angles. And you've got to let the hair grow to quite a length before you can repeat the exercise. It can also damage the skin and discolor it. Long-term use of waxing also causes bad wrinkles.
* Chemical depilatories strong enough to remove the hair are very likely to burn the skin, cause swelling and cause long-term discoloration of the skin.
* Laser is also liable to cause burning and discoloration and in any case only works effectively on a dark hair/light skin combinantion.
* Electrolysis is very liable to cause scarring and discoloration of the skin.
Which, like it or not, leaves shaving which does not damage the skin. Best done with a men's-style electric razor, the best of which, for women, are probably those from the men's range of Norelco razors (Philishave outside the US). Most women who try a men's Norelco wonder why nobody ever told them about it before.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods. Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful. Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged. A review of the various hair removal methods is available at http://3rc.info/

Pluck them after a warm shower when your pores are open. Try Tweezerman tweezers - they have the best grip.
Threading is faster but you'll have to find a professional & book an appt.
Here's an article about hair removal methods: http://www.cosmeticscop.com/learn/hair.asp?ID=166
There's a prescription product called Vaniqa that slows down hair growth.http://vaniqa.com/
You should check w/ your doctor to make sure there isn't some underlying condition contributing to the whiskers.
i.e. a hormonal imbalance

I pluck any unwanted facial hair. You can also get facial hair waxing strips for a few pounds, but ift's cheaper to just pluck.
Whatever you do, don't shave them! I wouldn't waste your time on laser hair removal, it's not guaranteed to work and it costs too much.

I pluck mine and yes, I have noticed that they have become thicker and there is more now. If I could ge them perm. removed, I would.
Definitely don't shave them unless you want man hairs.
I don't know what threading is, so I have no advice on that.
I like the advice to check with your doctor to see if there is an underlying cause like hormonal imbalance. I've been thinking of doing that myself.

Plucking sometimes causes markings. Waxing is an option or trim them for a no cost solution. Don't shave them, makes them thicker and stubby.

waxing...
or if they are dark and coarse the best thing that will permanently get rid of them is Laser hair removal and for a chin area it would not be that pricey

I pluck them, simple, fast and easy. I don't think they grow more? But I don't really notice, you can try waxing but it might be odd because you'd have to wax your whole face because of your peach fuzz. Don't shave. I would just try plucking.
