Yes, you should always check with a doctor first to make sure it's not a heart problem...but...you may just have a knot in your back by the muscle under your shoulder blade. That will cause the same sensations. If your doctor says you're fine, find a good massage therapist to fix the knot.

There is absolutely no way anyone here on "Answers" can give you a proper diagnosis... even a doctor would need to examine you for that...but I have 3 herniated disks in my neck from an auto accident, and I get much the same thing happening with my right arm. You probably should go have it checked out, even if only with a chiropractor. Sounds like either pinched nerves or a disk issue. Unfortunately.

Feel better...

Well first go to the doctor. but for now
some questions
Do you regularly exercise
Do you take drugs (sorry, you might do i dont know so dont take offence whatever)
Do you find you regularly use that arm ( more than the other)
Have you recently pulled it or injured it
Do you remember sleeping on that arm or anything
Does the problem run in your family
Have you taken any drugs at all ( Just painkillers or whatnot)

Go and see your doctor as soon as possible.
I have had a couple of relations with the same symptoms, and both turned out to be a heart problem.
I don't want to alarm you or scare you, but get it checked out, better to be safe than sorry.
Best wishes, Hopefully it's something like cramps or poor circulation.

You should call a doctor!!
It might be a heart problem!
Also you might be suffering panic attacks!
Sometimes the panic attacks are thought to be heart attacks, which they're not.

Suggest you get serious medical advice from your doctor immediately instead of sitting in front of a computer.

please respond to this,
Does the numbing feeling just seem to go into your 3 fingers from the big finger out. If it is you have trapped nerves in your neck & back ( scalenes in neck ) & rhumboid in back as well as disc bones pressing on nerves.
If so speak to physio, if not speak to Doc (asap)
