Let's say a person was living deep in the Rain Forrest or Jungles of Arfica or somewhere Missionaries have never been to teach them about Jesus. If the only way to Heaven is through Jesus & these people don't even know him will they be cast into the Lake of Fire?( Hell?)

God is fair. God is just.....

1. In accordance with the plan of salvation, everyone will at some time hear the gospel.

2. The way has been opened for those who die without the gospel to receive it.

After His Crucifixion and before His Resurrection, the Savior preached the gospel to the righteous in the spirit world and sent messengers to preach to the spirits of the wicked
1 Peter 3:
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

3. The gospel is preached to the dead so that they can be judged by the same standard that will be used to judge those who hear the gospel in mortality
1 Peter 4:
6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

Dead still need ordinances such as baptism so how is it done? Someone is baptized in their behalf...
1 Corinthians 15
29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?

This is one of the major problems I have with the Christian idea that salvation is only available to those who accept Christ.

If a person is good, and kind and just, and raises her family to be good and kind and just, but happens to live in an isolated area that has not heard of Jesus, then the best they can apparently hope for is to turn forever into dust. Sorry every good person born before 3 BC, guess you're outta luck.

And then, if they do hear about Jesus, but decide not to accept him (even if they don't change their lives and continue to be good, kind, just and peaceful), they're immediately bound for eternal hellfire.

So I guess that if you are an isolated heathen, the best way to keep your friends and family from roasting in hell for all eternity is to immediately shoot any missionaries you see.

They still get to go to heaven, provided they try to live an ethical life and are repentant for whatever wrongs they might have done.

This whole "Jesus is the way" thing is so very wrong.
God is bigger than Jesus.
And God doesn't care if you are black, white, rich, poor, Jewish or Buddhist or whatever.

As long as we try to live good lives, help those around us and not waste our lives, there is plenty of room for ALL people of ALL faiths (or lack of faith).

Nah, I like to think of accepting Jesus as living like he did. Live a life of trying to help those around you and not swaying from that life despite the consequences being dire. Always strive to do the right thing, and you are good to go!

During the ressurection & 1,000 reign Jehovah gives chances to those whom never knew of him.He won't let those go to hell because of them not knowing. Also as far as *hell* is concerened it is the grave, because it too will be cast in the lake of fire made for satan & his legions/angels & the wicked.

You've hit the nail on the head.

People believe in the god and faith that they were taught. And a few thousand years ago people needed something to explain their existence.

These gods are no longer relevent, yet the gullible still fight over who's religion is the true faith.

It would be quite funny were it not so dangerous.

At Vatican II, it was agreed that those who through no fault of their own had not heard the word but lived a righteous life would eventually come into Christ's light.

Look, you can walk along with him as they did in the past and yet end up hanged like Jude or killing him. Or... never meet him in person but die declaring He raised as hundreds of them did.
Wherever you are, you have all it takes to reach Him. You have the hunger for eternal life. Once you are honest, you can start your search. And here is what He promised to He's people even before they went to exile. Yet it speaks to it's people, it apply to all humanity. But remember: be honest, you can not lie Him.

I would say no. If they cant get into heaven becuse they have not been told of such place, then they cant be cast to hell for the same reasons.
