Being a Christian, I can tell you that the answer varies from person to person. We're supposed to try spread the Gospel because we love our neighbor as ourself. Many people do it to look good in front of other Christians. Some even do it just so they can feel self righteous and superior. Mainly, I think the honest reason behind most people trying to convert others is that they can't just sit back with the knowledge and do nothing. We just feel compelled to share.

I have a good life because of God and my faith and trust in him. When I share how I believe, i never try to convert or bible push, I just share my testimony in hopes that if someone was in a crossroads and is looking for hope and joy they know how I found it. Simple love for others.

i can't answer that because i am muslim and we are not allowed to talk someone into a religion (and to think some people think we force them) because one can fall for a good debater and accept islam butnot sincerely ... that is why in islam you are only allowed to inform not try to convert but educate....

it is out of genuine love. i want the people i love to feel the same way that God has made me feel. i want them to have the same blessings. it is also our obligation as christians.
