What would cause your pupils to dialate big to small and back and forth like this? I can look in the mirror and watch them do it and I know to look for it in the mirror because I can tell they are doing it. I am not on drugs. When they do this however, my eyes usually look bulgy like a person on speed would look.

I know light makes them do this, that's a given. It isn't light variation though, and I have other undetermined health issues. It just weird. I figure hormones but I can't find anthing online.

It's called hippus and it's just a normal variant, not a sign of any disease.

That's a pretty stupid question, why would you want to know that? ANYWAY-- lots of light makes you pupils smaller, and if you make the light darker your pupils will get larger. Also if you see your crush or a person you are attracted to your pupils dilate...

Your pupils go larger when they dilate. This happens for example when it is dark. The pupil becomes larger to allow more light into the back of the eye where the retina is located to help you see more.

pupils react to light. any light level change will cause the pupils to change size. More light, smaller pupils, less light larger pupils. It is a protective mechanism.

i kinda have the same problem but my eyes only dialate from small to big thas all that happens and i wear glasses

Light.. If it's kind of dark they'll be big.. If it's light they'll be real small....
