someone from work told me to put a sign up and try to sell them super cheap almost like a yard sale.. would this method work?

i'm scared to ask a gallery...

Does Ebay work???? could i get at least 20$ from selling one on ebay1? how do i do this?

any other ideas?

Once people assoicate "cheap" with your artwork, they'll always see you that way.

It seems as if you do not know who you are, what your dreams are, or what your purpose is,...I trust that you do know.

It is time for you to stand up, tell people strongly why your worth something. Never back down and be aggressive. Are you just going to sit down and die?

You know what? Get a portfolio together. Make sure you include our biography, artist statement, 10 or more slides of your originals. Get prints done or you originals. Start by going to local festivals, craft and art shows. Rent a small booth for a small price. Be brave. Not after long and a few shows, you'll not even need to worry about galleries. They will come to you and notice your art. You'll be selling like crazy.

From there, you'll be laughing. The rest will be history and you can afford all the supplies that you can dream of, + make a living.

Oh ya,..ebay tells everyone that you make crap.

Have a nice day now.

Actually, Etsy is better that Ebay for artwork. They work on the same premise, you just have to post photos of the work you are selling.

But if you have never sold your work before, I suggest you try an artists co-op gallery. Check gallery listings in your area (an art guide, or Craig's list) to see if there is a co-op nearby. Often, co-ops don't require you to be juried in or accepted, but charge a monthly fee if you are exhibiting your work. They all work a little differently. You could also show your work at a county fair or locally-sponsored art show.

$20 seems very low for a painting, unless it is very small. Artists usually base the price of a painting on size (for materials and amount of time it took you to paint). There are some good online sites - artist communities and groups where you can get more specific help on pricing and showing. Try searching Yahoo groups for artist groups. Ad check out this blog:

Good luck!

I've got a friend that sells quite a few of hers on Ebay. Deviant Art allows you to sell prints. Good luck!

eBay does work, it is awesome. It's simple to use, here is a link to their selling guide: http://pages.ebay.com.au/education/learn-to-sell-overview.html

eBay.

Tell them it's a one of a kind original work.

Sign your name and hopefully you get famous.

You should set up a PayPal account if you're using eBay.

Why not start by hanging it at your workplace? You'd be surprised what may come of that.
