And yes I do have faith, and don't need physical evidence. Just curiousity.

lately a group of divers in the Red Sea has found a large amount of egyptian chariot wheels some several hundred of feet offshore. This is archeological proof that at least a portion of the egyptian army was washed away by " something" over a thousand years ago

The History Channel had a good show regarding some of the bible events. This was one of them. The belief is that the crossing was down at a shallow part of the Red Sea during the time when the tide was going out. The wind that occurs naturally in this area then dried the bed enough to allow a crossing. The Egyptians did not see this as the crossing was done at night with the Hebrew rear guard carrying torches to reduce the Egyptians sight (pillar of fire). When morning came and the Hebrews were on the other side, the Egyptians charged but got mired down in the returning sea (tide was coming in). The Egyptians gave up due to the fact that if they went around the sea the Hebrews would have such a large lead that the Egyptians had virtually no way of catching up. Hence, it would be futile.

This is a very good question. In the past few days I have done research on the Exodus and have websites that talk about proof of the Exodus.
It most likely happened in the 1440s BC, and the reason there is no documentation is that for one, little from that time survives anyway and two, the Egyptians hardly ever documented defeats for the sake of making themselves look better. So many believe that the Exodus was something that the Pharaohs tried to hide from the general public for fear of a sort of rebellion. After all the plagues of Egypt were sent by God to prove every god of Egypt was false.
The Pharaoh was a "god" in Egypt, and the priests were important as well in that society. So they had much to lose.

Definitely not! It was a celestial disturbance when Venus came too close to earth before it settled into a permanent orbit around the sun - causing tremendous upheaval...... sucking water from land that used to be sea and piling it up elsewhere flooding.

Do you know why the Israelites wandered in the desert almost blind not knowing where they were going??? They did that for 40 years. How far is modern Israel from Egypt? Not that far. The heavens "came down". Due to the boiling and subsequent evaporating of much of the seas (Venus passing and upsetting the earth axis and spin) the earth was blanketed with a very dense cloud cover going down to just about a couple of feet above ground level. That period lasted about 40 years.

When the bible talks about Venus - it was meant by that Lucifer.... another name for Venus. Lucifer's tail ( like that of a huge comet) having cast its fiery debris on earth. It tells that Lucifer was cast down from heaven . That was not the devil cast down by god to be chained down...... it meant all the celestial disturbances eventually ceased once Venus had established its place in the solar system with a stable, predictable orbit. A lot of the stories in the bible are truly false - concocted by the ignorant who at that time did not know any better..... inventing gods of fury etc. Eventually science will be the deathblow for primitive religions..... where people still believe in fairy tales of old.

You can read up on that in all the ancient records from American Indians, to the Chinese to the Middle East. They all tell the same stories that the heavens fell down. That was about 800 or so BC right when the exodus occur ed. Of special interest with the most references and sources read Immanuel Velikowsky " Earth in upheaval" and "Worlds in Collision".

God parted the Red Sea, through Moses. Moses himself could not do that. Anyway, there has been proof found in the Red Sea to back this up. Chariot wheels covered in coral. There is a book about this stuff, but, I don't remember who wrote it. It was the guy who discovered it. I found it on a website. There's a book called "The Exodus Case", and it is based on the discoveries of Ronald E. Wyatt. There are some awesome pictures in it. I guess you'll have to buy the book and see.

I guess I need to clarify this. Ronald E. Wyatt did not write the book, but it is based on his discoveries.

You find it hard to believe? Not so long ago a old man got burned because he said that earth is round and it spins.
He did not have physical evidence then. Those who burned him were... let's not give names. Yet, it is important to mention that they did had the Scriptures where it states that earth is rounded and suspended.
Physical evidence? No, we don't have it yet. No matter how many relics do you find, it still does not prove anything to some. What should we do with those who pretend that the sea can be parted?

Moses got help from parting the sea with the help of G-d.

Yes, there has been evidence that the Egyptian soldiers were washed away by findings of wheels of a wagon, plus other artifacts that belonged to them. I don't remember the website, but you can probably google it.

Yes, it is definitely possible because God chose Moses to be his man, the one that would lead his people. And when God gives you power to do something, you can do it. It says in the Bible (forgive me, I don't know the reference off the top of my head), "Nothing is impossible with God" and it also says that "if God is for us, then who can be against us?" Finally, it states that God will provide a way out of all of your trials, and giving Moses the power to part the Red Sea was his plan of saving them. Actually, the plan was perfect (but what else could it be- God made it!) because as soon as the Israelites had crossed, the water drowned all of the Egyptians so they couldn't hurt His chosen people! Isn't God amazing? So all in all, my answer is yes, it is possible. And true.

i forgot what he said, but my pastor talked about some possibilities.. like "Nature" but a bit tweaked by God. for example, there is an area of the red sea that could have been shallow at a certain time period, and so people could have walked at that time..and then thru nature a storm happened and water filled up the shallow area... or the frogs could've manifested because the water they lived in congealed.... there's also an explanation of water turning to blood because of iron! and the plagues of locusts and the eclipses.. stuff like that could have been caused by Nature, by God yes, but still "natural" occurences. weird! definitely interesting discussion at any rate :)

when i was in highschool my friends and I pondered on this!
came to the conculse everyone was tripping out on poppy seeds!!

but over all now that i'm educationed some what the parting of the sea was using a boat moses created something that he could travel on and if you look at the seas as a sheet of paper he did part the top layer.. so it could be just a miss understood part that man made it seem to be like the water lifted but gravity wouldn't have that!
i hope you don't take as being disrespectfull when i say i need fact and what goes up must come down! at some point! science has yet to proof it wrong!
but i do believe in a high power!
