I am a man of deep faith in God. I realize that there will be many people who will strongly disagree with me from time to time but this does not deter me from spreading the message of eternal life to those who may be sincere seekers on this site. I have seen some evidence of this already on yahoo answers R&S. We cannot tell how God's Holy spirit is moving upon hearts to make a change from their chosen path away from God. There is hope for every unbeliever on this site. We must try to be patient, loving and sometimes firm for the faith. We should not be afraid to speak up boldly against who trash the Holy Bible. This is the work of the Devil. Expect this from time to time but don't become discourage when facing strong rejection by those who want to silence Christians on this site. Be strong for christ and carry the word of God in your heart. Hold it up as high as the American flag flies in our skies. Lift Jesus higher and higher. Praise his holy name! John 3:16.

No. When you try to force your faith on other, you're being narrowminded. Picking parts out of the Bible, and leaving the other parts out is self-righteous. You're being judgemental right now, by thinking that everyone calls you those things. When you don't stand up for your faith, you aren't being a hypocrite. You're just tired of arguing. You can't please anyone who doesn't want to listen to preaching. Only stand up for your faith. Don't mention that God and Jesus want to save an Atheist. We've heard it ALL before.

By all means, stand up for your faith if you feel honestly that you're being persecuted for it. But ask yourself this: If someone doesn't believe the same thing you do, and gets offended that you try to make them believe it, are you being persecuted? Have you really suffered for your beliefs, by being denied the right to assemble, worship, pray and practice your beliefs as you wish? Other than church, where do you choose to worship, and would your choice offend someone or in any way prevent them from going about their own affairs?
As I say, worship God or Buddha or Allah or Ra the sun god or Zeus, or whoever or whatever you feel connected to. But don't equate disagreement with persecution. There are people in the world who can't worship as they'd like, if at all. There are people in the world who get to tell everyone else how to worship what god, in what way, and how to behave and dress and live in every other way. It's not a perfect world by any means, but unless you actually find yourself prevented from worshipping in an appropriate way, in an appropriate forum, you can't say you "can't win". After all, In God We Trust is still on the money. There are various denominations of Christian churches on nearly every street corner throughout the United States. It's not as if Christianity is a small cult struggling to find acceptance and tolerance in a hostile world.

Many Christians have this way of walking all over other people when they 'stand up for their faith'. The normal response to criticism, especially when you hear it frequently, is to consider if there's some validity to it.
There are many several Christians here who stand up for their faith and do so with respect, kindness and a sense of humour. They in turn are respected.
It's your choice.

Truly don't sweat it! All that matters is Jesus anyways. I remind myself that they aren't Christians so why should we expect them to answer with understanding? And Jesus said, " Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my sayings, they will keep yours also" ( John 15:20). The world is a great opponent of Jesus and His people throughout all history. Christians must never forget that we are different than the world. Our values, standards, and direction is in conflict with their ungodly lifestyles. This will only become increasingly true as the Day of the Lord approaches. So, don't fret....rejoice!

Well, you need evidence to prove your views.
Arguments that make use of evidence will be more effective than arguments that use none.
If faith is the reason for religion, then all religions are on equal footing because non can be proven or disproved more than any other.
It's true that you can't please everyone. I can't please anyone. I'm fine getting along with you guys, but sometimes it seems that Christians advocate immoral things, like opposing science (evolution) or the separation of church and state.

Look, you can believe anything you want. But, when you (in the general sense) use your beliefs to infringe on the rights of others, what you believe is no longer a private matter.
Keep your beliefs personal and nobody will care if you believe in one god, or ten goddesses, or in a talking cabbage.

Our mission is to spread the truth or gospel out of love, compassion and morality; we have to be careful not to sidetracked and becoming concerned with "winning" arguments [though this does not infer that we should not attempt to patiently answer questions nor fail to challenge false premises or misunderstandings].
Hope this helps!

That's the way it is on here. Jesus said the world will hate us because it first hated Him. And why? Because He showed men their sin. When we preach that they must be saved, they take it as criticizing because in today's society it is polically incorrect to criticize anyone's beliefs. But we know the Jesus is the only way. It's not our job to make people believe it. It's just our job to tell them.

Hey cheer up!
We do win in the end and those who mock... well... they don't win. Just keep the faith.
