ever since i was saved and felt the holy spirit, i feel a lot differently about things. i used to be fulfilled by temporary "highs" like drinking and casual relationships with guys, stuff like that. now i have absolutely NO desire to be drunk or have random relationships. anyone else feel this change when they were saved? its kind of like all that stuff seems trivial now.

yep I know what you 're talking about....I used to smoke and drink but now I get that "Holy Ghost high" you know? lol
People who are not saved think that it's foolishness and they think that we just make all this up...but they just don't know how it is to feel REAL peace in your heart and have JOY...they missing out....
Be Blessed :-)

Absolutely. This is what a lot of non-Christians are missing! Christianity is about a real, active, supernatural relationship with the Creator of the Universe. It's not just a set of rules that we choose to believe or not - in fact it's SO not about that.

The Bible says that the Holy Spirit "bears witness" with us. I still have sin in my life and I always will, but the Spirit moves me every day to seek more information about God and to try to do the right things. The old life just doesn't have the same sparkle as it used to.

I also think that people that THINK they are Christians but have never had this type of supernatural transformation may not actually be saved. There will be no suprised people in heaven. Like you won't wake up and say "well, I made it!" If you don't know for sure that you're going to heaven, then you aren't. I had heard this before I was saved but didn't understand it until I became a Christian.

Ladybug, your answer is precious - God bless you.

Truth is that I've never felt fulfilled by drinking or casual relationships. I always wanted more. That is one reason I have held onto my faith almost my entire life. Being saved is definitely a part of that, but the truth is that anyone with their best interest in mind should feel the same, saved or not. Self respect is a wonderful thing.

O yes... and i am only 13...That is probably the reason that i dont go out and party all night. or that i dont get high or get drunk. I am a regular at me youth group... and believe me, they saved my life. I can tell the difference between Christians and non-Christians just by the way they act. Another thing... is the change your feeling.. somewhat like The Holy Spirit filled a hole in your heart? That's how i would describe it.

Ok First of all the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost is NOT plural - there is only one. His spirit & influence CAN Be everywhere however. Second - what you witnessed was NOT of God in my opinion. Third - we are all born with the Light Of Christ - the Holy Ghost is granted to those who are baptized and born again as a guide, protector & testator of truth. Fourth - evil is a great "imitator" of good.... as you saw.

I truly know what you mean. I felt unfulfilled if I did not have 2 or 3 guys hanging around me. Casual was my middle name.

Now that I became a Christian, I do not live that type of life anymore. It was hard to give up and change my ways, but I did it with the help of God. I believe that God save my life from misery and hurt.

God bless you, Kelly. That's my daughter's name, too. Yes, after I came to the Lord, all my sinful desires slowly fell away, too. That's the Holy Spirit cleaning up your life. Keep on that good path. There's a great reward and great blessing in your life if you do.

Yes. Well, I haven't had experiances with drugs or anything with pure pressure really, but He's truely become my best friend. I can talk to him without holding back. I can confess to him the bad...I love him. He's saved me.

Non Christians, I suggest trying it out. Just ask God to help you overcome your weaknesses and if you're ready, accept Him into your heart. He's a great feeling.
