If nothing is helping take the pain away you really should see a doctor. If your really dead set on going to tryouts tonight do a couple of things first:

1.) Take some tylenol/motrin/advil (I know you said it isn't helping, but do it so you can get ahead of any new pains you would feel after tonight)
2.) Continue using ice (I know that's not helping the pain either, but it's going to prevent swelling.)
3.) Use an ace bandage to wrap your elbow before try-outs
4.) Try to use ice (or a cold water bottle) on yoru elbow at any breaks you get during the tryout
5.) When you get home from tryouts take another advil or what ever you chose (if it's been long enough, don't want you to OD), put some more ice on it, and rest.

If you don't start feeling better soon, you get major swelling, horrible pain, or a lot of bruising go see your doctor for an x-ray.
Hope this helped, good luck at try-outs.

Please be careful. Get through tryouts as best you can (let the coach know what is going on though, hon) and then rest it when everything is over.

Good luck, and do what the doc said!
