Function will answer this question. I own all three.... and actually a few more.
The Glock corners the market on ease of use. It cannot compare to the Beretta for accuracy. The 1911 is a niche gun. You can buy one for pennies or spend 4 grand.
In short:
Glock - not the most accurate of the three. Certainly dependable and easy to use. Priced to selll around $525
Beretta - By far my favorite. Extremely accurate. Certainly dependable but requires a little more knowledge to handle the gun. Can be found new for $525 if you look hard.
1911 - If you spend less than 600.00, a 1911 will most likely not be the most accurate weapon of the three. The more you spend, though, this can become, by far, the best of the three. Priced between $450.00 - $4500.00
1911's can be customized to fit or do anything you can imagine. Stock, they can be below par, but investing a few dollars will get you a tack driver.
Rock Island is a good platform. You can buy a cheap one for $500 and add things as you go, but be careful to buy a gun with features you cannot add without changing integral parts. Grooves on the slide, blow ports, stainless, etc.
For the money, Beretta will be the best, out of the box, gun of the three. You should immediately buy the Hogue finger molded grips for it too. Beretta 92FS Inox would be preferred over the blued, not only for upkeep but future resale value.

Glock's are enjoying current popularity. The Beretta is a tried and true favorite with ample ammo available. The 1911 is an old standbye but with a limited magazine capacity.
What's your intended use? That's usually what drives a handgun decision. Is this a primary piece or a back-up?
I like the Beretta 92FC but my wife sports the 1911 and her groups are tight!

Hello:
Have handles firearms for most of my life and today carry a GLOCK 17 in my duty as a court security officer. The 1911, unless it ahas an accurzed bushing, seems to lose it's accuracy everytime you take it down for cleaning. The barrel has play in it, IMO. I like the Glock for handling, accuracy and point of aim easy use. Takes down easy for cleaning too. Also, I own a model 19 GLOCK . Like a golfer, I let the club/GLOCK do the work for me and it works great for me. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Springfield XD maximum surely. i like the set off pull greater effective on the XD greater effective than the different 2. I additionally like the reality the XD would not have a thumb secure practices yet has an exterior secure practices none the fewer. quite its continuously waiting once you like it yet secure to hold it warm. I additionally like the Striker status indicator and the loaded chamber indicator. I did own the Px4 hurricane (9mm) whilst the 1st got here out. advantageous firearm however the set off pull have been given a sprint outdated for me. I additionally shot the FNP in 9mm and it jogged my memory of the hurricane. I at present own 2 XDs 9mm and .45acp. this is my suggestion. yet you ought to bypass on what fits your hand in basic terms right and your value selection in basic terms right.
