To the Spaced Guy: Who say's it is a sin? Where is the bible does it say that same sex relationships or sex is a sin.
A lot of religious people like to reference Soddom and Gamorrah when speaking of homosexuality. However, In Genesis there are only a few lines dedicated to an incident that can be interpreted many ways. The bible referenced the wicked ways of those of Sodom and Gamorrah. The only refernce to a same sex anything was the term "men" at the door demanding to know the angels whom they assumed were men. They intended to rape them but that doesn not mean that the whole of Sodom was homosexual or that it was a bad thing to be such. It was the acts of violence and rape that God was condoning, And such violence and rape has been perpetuated through out time especially in war time. The "RAPES" and sexual violence was a way of humiliating strangers thsose they deemed strangers or beneath them.
Genesis 19:5 said that all of the men (perhaps all of the people) of Sodom formed the mob at Lot's house and demanded to "know" the angels. The population was not all male. Also, Lot had lived in the city for some years and would have know if all of the men were homosexuals; he would hardly have offered to sacrifice his daughters to the mob if the men were entirely homosexual. If the men of Sodom were all homosexuals, there would be few if any children and widows in the city as mentioned elsewhere in the Bible. There were many and all of them were destroyed including the women and innocent children.
In Romans It appears he is talking about those who worship something/someone other than God. And this is not God speaking. It is Paul speaking to those who do not aknowlege God.
Romans 1
14 To Greeks 9 and non-Greeks alike, to the wise and the ignorant, I am under obligation;
15 that is why I am eager to preach the gospel also to you in Rome.
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel. It is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: for Jew first, and then Greek.
17 For in it is revealed the righteousness of God from faith to faith; 11 as it is written, "The one who is righteous by faith will live."
18 12 The wrath 13 of God 14 is indeed being revealed from heaven against every impiety and wickedness of those who suppress the truth by their wickedness.
19 For what can be known about God is evident to them, because God made it evident to them.
20 Ever since the creation of the world, his invisible attributes of eternal power and divinity have been able to be understood and perceived in what he has made. As a result, they have no excuse;
21 for although they knew God they did not accord him glory as God or give him thanks. Instead, they became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless minds were darkened.
22 While claiming to be wise, they became fools
23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for the likeness of an image of mortal man or of birds or of four-legged animals or of snakes.
24 Therefore, God handed them over to impurity through the lusts of their hearts 15 for the mutual degradation of their bodies.
25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and revered and worshiped the creature rather than the creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26 Therefore, God handed them over to degrading passions. Their females exchanged natural relations for unnatural,
27 and the males likewise gave up natural relations with females and burned with lust for one another. Males did shameful things with males and thus received in their own persons the due penalty for their perversity.
28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God handed them over to their undiscerning mind to do what is improper.
29 They are filled with every form of wickedness, evil, greed, and malice; full of envy, murder, rivalry, treachery, and spite. They are gossips
30 and scandalmongers and they hate God. They are insolent, haughty, boastful, ingenious in their wickedness, and rebellious toward their parents.
31 They are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless.
32 Although they know the just decree of God that all who practice such things deserve death, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.
As far as Leviticus is concerned, The translation for this passage has never bee clear to theologians it was interpreted many ways.... however here is how one church teaches it's meaning.
Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches: This is a conservative Christian denomination with a special outreach to gays and lesbians. They enlarged on the condemnation of the ritual uncleanness of homosexual sexual behavior in Pagan temples: "The seriousness of this idolatry in Hebrew eyes was compounded by the belief that 'to lie with a man as with a woman' violated the dignity of the male sex. Women were [considered] property but men were the direct image of God. To treat a man the way a woman was treated was to reduce him to property and, thereby, to violate the image of God. The issue was idolatrous activity which failed to acknowledge God's creation."

You are misunderstanding this verse. It is not talking about the physical, but the spiritual. We are all the same spiritually. It is the same as saying that when we become married, "we become one flesh." We know that physically, people are either male or female, Jews and Greeks still exist and people can physically still be slaves or free.
Many people have attempted to use this verse to justify homosexuality, but the verse in no way supports that sin.
The word homosexual is older than what is quoted by many.
The word for "homosexuals" comes from the Greek phrase which means "men having sexual relations." For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due (Romans 1:26,27). Note the words Paul uses in this passage: "vile," "against nature," "shameful," "error." These are not words of approval. In the context, Paul is discussing the unrighteousness of the Gentiles (Romans 1:18). But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully, knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine (1 Timothy 1:8-10). In verse 10, Paul mentions the "sodomite." This is the same Greek word that is used in 1 Corinthians 6:9 translated "homosexual."
God, through Paul, makes it clear those who practice homosexuality will not go to heaven. Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God (1 Corinthians 6:9-11).
The Bible in no way supports the sin of homosexuality.

He does not care? You have swallowed that lie from the pit of Hell. He does care. The scripture you gave is out of context. It has nothing to do with sexual persuasion. Several times if not more, God speaks out against sexual sin of all sort. Homosexuality is one of those sins. One place is found in 1st Corinthians 6:9 and 10. Just because you will not find the word homosexual, does not mean that another word for it can not be found.

The quote you cite is a description of life in heaven.
Down here out of the clouds, God cares a great deal about sexuality and expressions of it.
The passage below does not describe Temple Prostitutes. You may want to justify a sinful lifestyle for your own peace of mind, but Jesus wants to give to you the peace that surpasses all understanding. THAT you will not find in a same-sex relationship, monogamus or otherwise.

God cares about sin. He hates it and the Bible makes it clear that homosexuality is a sin. 1Corinthians 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor abusers, nor homosexuals, 1Co 6:10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. Romans 1:26 For this cause, God gave them up to dishonorable affections. For even their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature. Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another; males with males working out shamefulness, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was fitting for their error.

It is not a sin to be a male or female but it is however a sin to be a practicing homosexual, adulterer, fornicator, ETC. I think you have to know this is a twisted statement. The only way God won't see homosexuality on judgment day is if it has been repented of and covered by the blood of Jesus Christ. God Bless!!

Compromise as much as you want but the fact is your wrong.
You have been sucked into the lies of the devil.
God see the heart and He see sin.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Rom 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Rom 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

No you are not referencing the bible right. Homosexuality shows up in the bible plenty and God clearly says that it is wrong! Have you ever heard of Sodom and Gomorrah? Do some researching on that.

Romans 1:26,27: For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. But what about:
Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

I am so sorry for you and the way you think. Yes the Bible does to refer to "homosexuals" Romans:1:26-27, 1 Timothy 1:10
Satan will take and have you twist the words like you have done, in order for you to feel better about your sexuality and as a way in oyur mind of condoning it.
Yes Jesus, God, holy spirit....loves us each and every one of us, but that does not mean we are not held accountable come our judgement day.
