I have a Clarion radio, I also have the correct code.
I however pressed in the wrong code the first time round and it seems to have blocked on me.
Does anyone know how to reset, so I can then input the correct code? have tried disconnecting the car battery but this does not work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One answer says freeze the radio - how do I do that then??

freeze the radio. it totally scrambles teh system and you can input your own code

You need to re-connect the car battery. Generally if you put in the wrong code it blocks the next attempt for 10 minutes, then if it's wrong again this time interval increases until eventually you are locked out for ever. The interval will only reduce while there's power to the radio, so leave it on overnight and get it right in the morning!

Follow Michael B's advice. If that fails then look for an audio workshop near by and they will be able to reset it for a fee.

x2 with allen that security code is for cases just like that if your radio was stolen its no good to them take it to a shop and have it reset...

Push down the button on the panel for the code.Then push enter.
