Nothing!

It is not appropriate to bring a gift to the engagement party. This is TRULY one of the events where you're expected to show up and simply enjoy yourself!

No gifts are required at all, but you could take a card. It's just a party for the couple and wedding party to meet the family and close friends.

I don't think you are required to take a present for an engagement party, but if you really want you can take something small like a bottle of champagne, a nice bouquet of flowers, etc.

Nothing beyond a hostess gift (to whomever is throwing the party - NOT the to-be's), and not even that if you choose not to. A nice bottle of wine or champagne will cover it. Have fun!

My favorite present was fun, colored thong underwear.

I normally wear just black, tan, and white, and when I put on the hot pink ones my friend gave me, my husband goes nuts! He forgot I was given these, and I didn´t wear them until after we were married. He´s going to call the giver and thank her for them:)
