I don't know what to do careerwise? I can't do with anything long enough, (I give up to easy/soon) and I'm no that intellectual (smart). So I have no idea what to do careerwise. I though about college-nursing, cosmetology, and a few others but I can't stand to wait that long (to begin/or too many yrs. to complete the program). I have a short attention span, is that bad? I just want to get started right away. I could be motivated for something one day and not for it the next day, and already be moved on to another career/job. For instants, Yesterday I thought about teaching, now I'm thinking about nursing, next it will proably be something totally different. Is this Normal? I also have 0 motivation, which doesn't help. Do you know of any decent Careers that sound like they would fit me, if thats even possible. Nothing Stupid Plez! (You will be ignored!)

Wow! You guys have been so helpful! Thank you all so much! I've actually thought of being a dance teacher, a bookkeeper, or a flight attendant. I think my problem is low, really low motivation though so I'll definitly have to work on that more than anything. Thank you all so much for your time and answers! It's going to be hard to pick a best answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

think of what your favorite thing to do is. If you like pets, start your own kennel for watching pets. Whatver you like to do, start a business of some sort. that way, it will always be what you love.

You said you're not that smart. [I'm pretty sure you're smart for asking this type of question]. Choosing a career can be hard.
I don't think a teacher is your kind of job. Teaching, you need 100% full potential, and motivation, and you can't give up. Nursing. You could become a nurse, but the thing is, you can't give up on the patient, ya know? You could be a librarian, even though they don't really pay, and there's no point. But, you'd be helping the community. Most jobs contain motives, but i think you'd be perfectly suited to be an actress, or dancer, singer, or maybe a producer. They get paid a lot, and you can go to an agency. "http://www.starsearchcasting.com/". Try that. Many famous people get paid a lot. Or you could be an artist. Truthfully, i don't know if you can have a "normal" job, if you don't have a motivation span, or if you aren't that smart. Just try modeling, or so. You could also be a hair-styler, they can go pretty far to celebrities.[like a cosmetologist] Or...you could try a nail dept., or even therapy. Like...um..massage therapy, or physical therapy. I've heard to train massage therapists, the training isn't too long. Or maybe even business or sales. Maybe even teach classes depending on your hobbies. Like, if you like dance, teach dance class. If you like singing, teach singing classes. Or, if you like drawing and your good, teach drawing/art classes. You'd make a profit, and you'd only have to spend some of the profit on materials, and where your gonna rent your space.

What do you like to do? Think about any hobbies you have that you can turn into a career. You might want to think about vocational/technical school where you get trained in a specific career in 18 months or go to a 2-year college. That way you at least have some credentials to show employers even if you don't want to go all the way through with a 4-year college. Also, if after you get a 2 year degree you want to go back to school, you only need to make up 2 more years instead of having to do 4.

First of all, what you are experiencing is very normal. I think you should go to a 2 year college and study either nursing or cosmetology and if you still don't like it, do something else. But I believe that you have to try something once before you let it go just so you can get a feel for it.
Otherwise, Sales sounds like a good career for you if you are good with people. Plus, you won't have to adhere to rigid schdeules, depending on where or who you work for.
There's no shame in trying something and not succeeding. The shame is in not trying at all. Hope you find what tickles your fancy!

You can always go back to school later if you decide on something you REALLY want to do...
In the meantime, look into merchandising- It's usually flexible schedules, the work is different every day and you don't have to sit in an office 9-5 with a boss breathing down your neck:)
You need to work on that motivation though LOL
Good luck!:)

don't do nursing, you sound like the kind of person that would get sick of it...literally, you start very low like cleaning out bed pans and stuff, very gross.
why don't you do something with makeup or hair, work part-time at a hair salon and get a feel for it while you take some classes then you'll already have a job at that salon and you'll get a pay raise..
or become a bartender, i think the course is like 6 months, you learn everything, get hired really fast because they have work placement programs and make KILLINGS in tips! (and pick up really cute guys..)

Don't pick a major yet.. But do not wait around to start school either. Take core courses... you will eventually find out what you want. I first wanted to go to school for pre-med, then dropped out. then I went for forensics to another school, dropped out, then wanted to go to school for education, dropped that. then finally i went to a community college, (since I had waisted so much money in all those other schools) and majored in liberal Arts, and took core courses, then I eventually started looking into Hotel Management, and July 13, I graduate with a degree in Hospitality Management. don't get stressed. It will come, but look for it, explore, ask, don't just sit there and wait for it to come. You will be alright. Hope this helps. good Luck.

Bookkeepers make good money, there are plenty of jobs and you dont need a BS degree. You can go to a secretarial school or get an AS degree. Quick education, good job placement, good $. Good luck!!!!

If you are young it is a normal thing to change or second guess your desire. You sound like you love change. If you could make it the 6 weeks. You would see and meet new people and places daily.

How about massage therapy?
The training is short, you can work right away.
You don't even have to pay attention.
