I believe knowledge is found in books, in an education setting, even online. Wisdom is found through experience and from God. Knowledge is human powered. Wisdom is God powered.

It is not a belief, it is a fact. There are 3 major principals needed for a conscious thought. It all starts from GOD and end with GOD. There is knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. First one gathers Knowledge if GOD permits. But it can not function without Wisdom. That belongs to Allah and is granted to make Knowledge function. For the Prophet Muhammad(pbuh), he was granted the greatest of Wisdom called Sakinah. After that, one can Understand inshAllah(GOD willing). Knowledge is nothing without Wisdom. Understanding is the gift earned/granted by dillgence in the Hands of Allah. Salaam(Peace)!

Some things have to be learned for themselves. Wisdom is often knowledge personally gained from experience. It can, also, be applied knowledge.

Knowledge is often learning from other people's experiences. Many skills cannot be learned in that way, but knowledge can speed up the learning process.

According to my beliefs, you should always plan extra time for things to go wrong. If things do not go wrong, you could always take the extra time to read a book and get more knowledge.

I could look them up and see what the dictionary says, but I have my own interpretation which I'll share.

I think of wisdom as the kind of knowledge one gains through experience and good judgment. Being able to learn lessons from life and apply those lessons in the future is an example of wisdom.

Knowledge to me generally refers to facts and data that one accumulates and can access. It's more concrete and less subjective than wisdom.

Knowledge is gained by reading and studying. Wisdom is putting what you know in to positive action.

For example, almost everyone has the knowledge of John 3:16. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

Wisdom is recognizing it as a free gift, applying it to your life and acting upon it to prepare for eternity. Foolishness (the opposite of wisdom) is to declare the above void and ignore it.

Knowledge, is that which man accumulates through life experiences, and in conjunction with the intellect allows man to proceed through the various challenges of life. This thing called knowledge is important yet has critical limitations.

Allah (God) has placed in mans heart (Kalb) a quality known as "Wisdom".
This lies dormant in most humans, until their heart has been surrendered to Allah (God).
This quality known as "Wisdom" is necessary for man to navigate in this world (Dunya). Until this has been activated, man is but a leaf blowing in the wind.
"Wisdom" is the quality that through the "Grace of God", allows man to see the Truth and Falsehood in all things. This applies to the "World of the Seen" and the "World of the Unseen".
This is an exalted state in man.
This is just the beginning for there are seven levels
of "Wisdom" available to man.

Wisdom is a higher level of understanding resulting from an ongoing process of evaluating, intergrating, and organizing our knowledge, making connections, drawing inferences, formulating abstract and prototypical concepts in a manner that provides us with a meaningful, systematic guidance. allowing us optimal expression and effectiveness in our interactions with the world.

Wisdom would have been a simplier way of trying to say this.
