I know that himalyan is actually the color of a persian with "points", but they are not registered the same. Would it be unethical to breed the two (if they were of breed standard of course)?

FYI: not a breeder, just curious.

And I am aware that the himi is a persian/siamese cross.

Well - you'll probably get some breeders on here bemoaning the crossing of breeds, but I think the only real ethical dilemma here is the introduction of even MORE cats into a world where there are just far, far too many waiting in shelters for homes. I'm against the breeding of any animals that will take up homes needed for these animals - and will be until the situation improves, which will probably be never at this rate.

why would it be unethical? they do it in the wild, and there their is no question as to ethics cause they will breed with their own sibling/parents
i think it would be just fine

I don't think you should breed at all there are way to many kitties out there in need of a home.We don't need anymore.
