Yes I remember when I was 4 years old.
I learned an awful lot at age 4
to read music
started violin lessons,
to ride a horse,
to swim.
that boys are different from girls - and why.
where babies come from - and how they got there
That when you stand up for yourself against a neighborhood bully - you don't get in trouble (I clouted the obnoxious bully over the head with a big stick)
Performed on stage for the first time - as Europa as a little girl
that when you're nice and polite to old people, they're not so frightening - and often give you praise and maybe even presents
that girls don't have to just be mommies and nurses and teachers -they can be cowboys too
how to install a rubber band motor in a Barbie race car - to make it go by itself. cool.
Yeah. age 4 was a pivotal year for me - and I still play the violin, ride horses and worked as a cowhand as a teenager. I can fix my car to a point - and explain to a mechanic what the rest of the problems are. I can stand up to a deacon in an independent Babtist church and tell him his ideas about Catholics are quite incorrect - and have him say "Wow. I didn't know that - thank you."

I remember specific times and instances from being 4. I know that from who were in those memories and were I was (We moved house)
I don't think at the age of 4 I had any expectations of life, so little understanding of what it would be like to be a "grown up"
So no, I would not understand who I am now. The only decision I would have made as a child of that age is if I (as an adult) was a nice grown up or a nasty one.

Yes I can remember lots of things that happened when I was 4. eg: picking the cherry blossom from the tree in our front garden and "selling " it to the neighbours AND they bought it.....then sneaking into a big garden and picking all their bluebells and selling them to the neighbours as well.....even the people who owned them..........But as i was an only child all I ever really wanted was a big family, that's all I dreamed about, I know that maybe I should have done more with MY life but I now have a husband, 3 beautiful daughters and 5 FABULOUS grandchildren......and it's brilliant, so in answer to your question when I was 4 I hoped I'd have what I have x x x
"good question"

I can remember some things, we were vacationing in Halifax Nova Scotia, and it was Naval day.
We went aboard the aircraft carrier Keersarge, and a British second world war submarine.
I also had an operation on my leg, which I vaguely remember because the nurse kept making me wear long itchy stockings which I hated. It was 1946
( I guess that makes me older than dirt)

The 4 year old me would probably look up, tut, and say " you were such a lovely child-where did it all go wrong! " No the 4 year old me would never understand where i am now, she was a sweet innocent thing who had a rosy view of the world.

I think i would understand (at the age of four) where i am now. I believe knowing what i have gone through since the age of four, has made me into the person i am today. I (aged 4) would be very proud of myself and honoured to know that i would grow into me! Thanks for the question, you have just made me happy,I'm going to bed with a smile on my face! Cheers wonkyfella! X Does that make sense -it does to me!

being 4 years old was another time, another world. I could never have imagined I would be blessed with the life I have now. I have learned that it is not what you have in life, it is who you choose to share your life with that is important. I did not know that when I was 4.
