Sure it's ok, I have 8 and 3 of them are visible but they are very tasteful tattoo's.

My office is a business casual setting and there is no policy against tattoos. A friend of mine though works in a more casual office and they cannot show tats. It just depends on the place. Check the company dress code, it should be posted or available by request. Or just ask around.

it all depends on the office place that you work in. each place will have their own individual policy. some workplaces allow no visible tattoos while others don't care at all. so if you don't already have a steady job or don't know what your job future is you should definitely take precautions before getting tattooed.

Generally not, but it's probably best just to ask your supervisor or check the dress code policy. That should have something in there about tattoos, body piercings, etc. Some offices are more casual than others...I know mine isn't! We can't even wear open-toe shoes! I have 2 tattoos but they're both hidden so I don't have to worry (still not happy about the shoes though lol jk)

depends on the office. Accountant? Definately not.
Secretary? Maybe. Sales associate at a mortgage broker? More than likely.
Putting it on the underside of the forearm is better, if you haven't places it yet, but conservative offices wont go for it. The times are changing to allow it, but if you're working WITH the public, the rule is: no.
During an interview, I would cover it up.

It really depends on the office. My fiance works in the office of a police department, and I would say it is OK. Lots of the cops walking around there, have tattoos.
However, I work in a more conservative office. I would never dream off showing a tattoo in my office area. (Not that I have one.)

I think in an office environment, tattoos are a big no no! Even tasteful ones. Something like that can really become an obstacle in your career; especially in higher-leveled jobs, a tattoo can be in your way. Especially for interviews, or when you have a meeting with clients or bosses, cover them up!

Depends. I work in a hospital as a pharmacy tech and have an Evanescence logo tatoo'd in the middle of my right forearm. It's in plain site and I've never gotten into trouble over it. but some people think it's a Satanist symbol or something. I get a kick out of that;-)

The only way to know about your particular office is to ask. Every employer will be different What might be considered conservative in one part of the country is not in another.

I guess it depends on your workplace. For the most part though I would say it probably should be covered. Ask your boss just to be on the safe side.
