Great Britain is the main Island. United Kindom is the entire country under the Queen and Parlaiment, include Ireland, Scotland, Wales, etc. Being English technically means you're from England, which is the part of Great Britain that includes London. Scotland and Wales are North of England.

I'll go with Sara, except that being English means u r a native of England. I suspect that the difference between Great Britain and the United Kingdom is that Great Britain is a geographical place, in other words the British Isles, while the United Kingdom is a concept.Hope this helps

English people are from England. Everyone from Great Britain is British, but they're not all English. Great Britain consists of England, Scotland and Wales.
"UK" and "Great Britain" are both references to the proper title "The United Kingdom of Great Britan and Northern Ireland"

Being English means being someone from England (not Britain). Great Britain and the United Kingdom mean the same thing - they are terms to describe all of the British isles (eg Scotland, Wales, Ireland, isle of White.Man etc), not just England

Probably the sentence you are about to use
One might say I am from Great Britain
or
I'm English
or if you are describing your nationality you might say I am from the United Kingdom.
