I might be visiting the area soon and that is one of the places on my agenda to visit. How is it? Is it as good as all the hype has been about it?

It's a great aquarium and worth a visit. That being said, it's still can't hold a candle to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

I have been to the aquarium twice and loved it both times. We printed out our tickets both times and only had a problem with them the second time. If you are buying your tickets online make sure you do so 24 hours in advance so that it allows the tickets to be e-mailed to you, otherwise you will have to wait in line like everyone else, which defeats the purpose of buying your e-ticket. Since it is the summer it will probably be packed so just be aware. We went one time about 2 hours before it closed and another time in the middle of the day. The later you go the less packed it was but make sure you have enough time to see everything. You should def. go it is very nice and interesting!

YES! My children & I went not long after it opened for a homeschool field trip.
I LOVED it!! I've been to a lot of aquariums and usually pretty bored there. My husband & kids enjoy them though. I've been to the one in TN and one in Myrtle Beach, SC. They are ok, but honestly I didn't see the very big deal of it.
I loved the one in Atlanta. It was amazing!! It was very very crowded though when went. To even eat lunch we had to sit on the floor by a wall since all the tables were taken there so many people there. But it had just opened so that was to be expected.
My favorite was this HUGE wall of glass. The children sat stunned watching all kinds of water life swimming by. I would love to go back some day.
My husband though who loves going to aquariums didn't think it was that great which shocked me. Everyone in our homeschool group loved it.
I highly suggest you go there. You'd miss out if you didn't. Wonderful place! Just wonderful!

Yes it is. Its really worth the visit there. Just a reminder though, during the summer months, it can get quite busy, especially during the weekends. All the kids are out of school for the summer and parents like to bring them there during the weekends. Still something to check out!

i have been there 2 times. one with my family. the other with my school . its great .but it can get crowded so go on like a day when it might rain or something because not as many people will be there . also u cant bring your own food and there food is expensive.there is a restaurant called Dougans its good and inexpensive.

Its totoally overated go its really nice but dont go with all the tourists around u wont b able to get around go round end of sept when the tourists start to go home

yes, its worth going to!! it was very beautiful!
Just don't plan on eating there, the prices of the food was ridiculous and most all of it sucked!! and was COLD! but other than that, it was a good experience!!
