On Windows, the Sound Recorder only records for sixty seconds on default, but is there way that I can record for longer? How do I do that?

If you want to record sound longer than you should probably get a better sound recorder. Audacity is a good one.

No. Sound Recorder is crap. Use Audicity.

Audacity is free, open source software for recording and editing sounds. It is available for Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, GNU/Linux, and other operating systems
