No i think you will find they get more exercise not less, as its fun so they go out more, my daughter loves hers and i was tempted to get a pair but there not that easy! so i wouldnt say you would burn off any less calories that if you just walked, i reckon half the kids that are obese have bad eating habits from parents that are lazy and dont cook for their kids and feed them on ready meals.

Personally i think Healey's have nothing to do with obesity. It's the fact that nowadays kids play less outside but sit home all day and play video games.

True, 1 in 4 kids are but the shoes may encorage kids to go out and get active. You may get a bit more exercise walking but you still do from heelys. They encourage to go out and get moving, i just dont think kids should be allowed to use them in stores.

To make $$$$.
I take my kids on a bike ride and or swimming everyday this summer. In the winter we go to and indoor bball court eventhough they are to small to "play" the game they still love to run around and play with the ball. They also do not have video games.

We are having the same problem in the U.S. Not enough exercise, and too much fast food, soft drinks, and junk food.
