Auburn and black medium-hair miniature daschund. Her name is Sadie.

Her father was a long hair and the mother was a short hair, but she's neither. Her fur is much shorter than her father's but much longer than her mother's. It'll get a little longer when she grows th extra fur that looks like it's coming in, but the vet didn't wnat to call her a long or short hair because she doesn't look or feel like either (up close; pictures don't capture any of the depth of her fur), so he just called it a medium respectively.

We'll see how long it gets gets before it's an official classification. She has white-ish fur coming in at her elbows that her mother didn't have, but her father did. She's like a perfect splice between them. Hehe.

She's adorable - please get her spayed asap so she has a happy, healthy, long life.

Best of luck - if this is your first dachshund, there is a very informative, fun to read book called "Dachshund for Dummies" - stupid name, but terrific read. I have all first time dachsie owners read it before I give them a dachsie (I do rescue).

Ohmidawg! How cute is she! Those are wonderful pictures of her!Sadie is a really cute name too! Awww! Here is my baby girl- A sable(which means gray) German shepherd mixed with a Papillon(sound as pappy-yawn) Her page is at dogster:

You should TOTALLY Make a puppy profile for her! It is a really fun place- where dog lovers unite! And you can make pup pals- if they are close even have pup play dates- is free unless you want to buy plus, and you can leave bones, or rosettes to tell a pup how much you like them! You can p mail for advice or go on the forums- then you can join a group- or make your own! Its a really great place! And a simple way to show your dog off- and say hay- i luv!!! My pup!

If you do make an account- lets be pals!

Hope this helps!

What an absolute CUTIE!!! I love doxies. I have a 2 year old shorthair red-dapple male, and we're getting a female when she's weaned from her mommy.
