I met him in 1991, in Charlotte, NC, where he gave a painting demonstration. I was 15 at the time. I walked right up to him, after the demonstration, and asked for one of his brushes(I was a fan). He gave me a one inch brush and signed it. He was very nice and a true gift to this world.

His style could be called 'modern mannerism'. It isn't so much a style as it is a way of painting or better, a way to produce an appealing painting. You can hardly call it art but it sure has it merit. I'd call him a true craftsman and a great human being.

He teaches a way of painting that leads to quick and good results and I must say I use many of his techniques. They sure lead you away from messing to much with your painting.
