People said that anything that could hypothetically be unhealthful is sinful:

So by that standard, wouldn't the greatest sin in the universe be a cigarette? In the top five would be fried foods with trans fats, right? Both of those are MUCH greater health risks than the sins listed in the Bible.

For that matter, how about rock climbing? That's really high risk. Is rock climbing sinful?

Then I guess both are, by association, sinful because a cigarette was always the first thing I went for afterwards. That and a gallon of spring water.

It is not. SIn is sin. and eating unhelathy is also sin. But the sins listed in the Bible are still sin also, all lead to death according to God. God doesnt rate sin. SIn is sin, and the sooner ppl get this, the better they will be.

Yes, but the majority of fundies are fat, just like the majority of Americans.

Fundies, dare not point out their own sins...or alienate their primary monetary contributors....so, they jump on the bandwagon of those things that do not directly affect them.

Sex is fun. Secondhand smoke is deadly. Last time I check Thou shall not kill is one of the ten commandments. I'll pass on rock climbing.

Sex is hardly risky at all if done right.

Of course, Christians *want* it to be dangerous and forbidden, so they insist that kids aren't taught how to do it right. It's a shame.

These same teachings are one reason why AIDS is all over Africa right now.

By Christian logic, then, Christian sexual ethics are harmful and therefore sinful.

because God wants all the women to be virgins by the time they die so men can have a "good reason" to believe and be faithful. That way they'll have the "reward" when they get to.....heaven.

Looks like a movie plot, huh.

no sin is greater than another. sex outside of marriage is considered a sin. not treating your body as God's Holy temple (smoking) would be considered the same

Man walks in a convenience store, and says in a loud voice:

"Please, I'll have a dozen of Trojan condoms."

And then in a barely audible whisper: "... and a pack of Marlboros."
