It depends on how tall she is, 13 year olds shouldnt be on strict diets unless they are really obese. They are still growing. If she is 5'5" then I dont think that is too much, but if she is only 4'5" then yes

It depends. How tall is she?? Does she have a small, medium, or large frame?
When I was 13 I weighed 133, I was a little chubby, but I grew into it. I'm 15 now, and weigh 115. Her weight will change all the time, she's still a growing girl, tell her not to worry about it.
Tell her not to be afraid! There are people who are a LOTLOTLOTLOT worse than her. & she will grow into her size, and the weight will even out. I'm def. not the skinniest person in the world [ i have thunder thighs and a biggish booty ] but I still wear a two piece. If she is still uncomfy she can buy a tankini. That has the regular bikini bottoms, and a tank top [ it's a swimming suit top also ] for the top. If she doesn't like her thighs showing, they make board shorts for girls.
[: I hope this helps!

She sounds like the right weight-but how tal is she?
Basleine for female adult (teens too):
%' tall-100 lbs baseline
For every inch over five ft-add 5 lbs.
Also, is she small, med. or large boned?
The larger the bone structure-a little more weight isn't a bad thing.
Example, 5'6" tall, large boned, can weigh 140 lbs. Even 145 lbs.
Muscle weighs more than fat. That is a fact.
She needs to not be so concerned-especially at her age-about her weight.
All magazine covers, models etc. pictures are air brushed-sometimes computer airbrushed. Models are not "perfect" they are just made to look "perfect" No one is perfect. We are humans.
If she is concerend about her weight, have her see her dr., and aside from that, go for walks0-30 mins. per day at the most. At least to get started. Not more than one hour at a time each day after that.
She could also drink more water- 8 - 8 oz glasses or 4 16-20 oz bottles of water per day to keep properly hydrated.
I hope this helps. Take care.

Tell her that a girl/woman with curves is more attractive than a girl/woman that has all bones showing. You should try to compliment her when she tries on outfits so she can gain self-confidence. As far as weighing too much it depends on height weight ratio. She might want to see a nutritionist just to get on the right path.

If you're a girl and 13 133 lbs no matter what height unless shes 6'5" then shes overweight. But she does need to go swimming to burn some calories. So don't tell her and take her swimming anyway.

i had this same problem when i was young...she is a little overweight but not too bad. tell her 2 b confident & no one will notice her "chubbiness"...if she loves herself others will loves her back. if she wants 2 lose the wieght tell her 2 run. i know i know running sucks but it worked 4 me. she should run once a day for a 30-60 min. that will help a lot. she should also whatch what she eats & once agagin CONFIDENCE is key!!!
hope i helped :)

I can't tell if she is over weight for you have not mentioned how tall she is, and weight is related to height.
you can go to the following web site, plug in her numbers as directed and tell her yourself. It will show her body mass index and whether that index is high low or normal.

it depends on how tall she is .but she sounds like shes ok plus she still has time to grow... tell her not to be afraid... just because her friends maybe all twigs doesnt mean she has to be... look at beyonce she is beautiful with her curves and scarlett johansen too .. there are beautiful and people would die for their curves... just be confident ... i know it sounds stupid or hard.. but you have to be proud of yourself for other people to be proud of you
