Take a sample of the cat's stool to the vet. They will do a $15 test to see what kind of parasite the kitten has....then you can ask what kind of medication the kitten will need.

You can call your vet and let them know (over the phone) what is going on and usually they will have the meds at their reception desk for you. Or you can go to pet meds and order droncet (not sure of spelling) but that is the med that takes care of internal parasites such as tape worms. It is also the med that the vet will prescribe. Do your research and see if it is cheaper to have it sent to you or to just drive to the vet and pick it up. Usually vets will let you purchase it without an exam as long as you have used the vet before with either the kittens or previous pets.

There are some you can buy at the store, but for kittens I would NOT give it to them. They are waaay too delicate to give general medicine to that may not even work.
You need to take them to the vet pronto.
With kittens you have to be very careful. If you can't afford a vet, you need to adopt your kitten out. It's not fair to the cat. If it gets sick because of these meds and you have to put it down, it will cost you more. And be irresponsible.

You can and should buy Banminth paste (pyrantel pamoate). Make sure you get the paste, not the pill, as the pill is for older cats. And make sure you give the right dosage according to the kitten's weight. You have to repeat the treatment after 14 days, and then after another 14 days, and then after a month, and then the next month you give them one Drontal pill (again adjusted dosage) to make sure every parasite is killed. Then you repeat every 6 months.

Sorry to break the information to you yet whilst one in all your cats has worms, all of them will. Tapeworm won't have the ability to be eradicated with any deworm you recover from the shelf. in certainty over-the-counter stuff would be particularly ineffective in any case, so which you will could chew the bullet and get dewormer from the veterinarian. that's in spite of the undeniable fact that a prescription product, and could require a vet bypass to except you're on fairly stable words with your veterinarian. i could additionally recommend which you get those animals on preventative flea drugs to circumvent the malicious program infestation interior the 1st place. additionally, bypass to a human pharmacy and purchase dewormer for your self and your loved ones.
