You can try to do a few things:

1) check on E-Bay for the availability of a used 1989 Lincoln Town Car. Beware of this method though, you may never see the car for yourself and you may end up buying a klunker.

2) Call dealerships in your neighboorhood and see if they have a 1989 or similar Town Car for sell. I was looking for an 88/89 whenever I found my 1990 Town Car... after I drove it, I fell in love with it.

3) Look in the local trading post. This may be one of the best ways to find something like this that is nearly 20 years old.

4) Check out www.autotrader.com as they have a wide array of used cars that dealerships and private people place online for sell. You can also check out the marketplace on autos.msn.com or autos.yahoo.com as I am sure both places may also have what you are looking for.

5) Forget looking for a 1989 Town Car and focus on something newer, there are a whole field of 1995 and up Town Cars still on the market for sale. My 1990 was the only one close within a 50 mile radius of my home at the time I was looking for one, and that was four years ago. Now I couldn't even find a 1990 if I wanted to probably.

Hope this helps

The engine firing order for a 1989 Lincoln Town Car is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8. Distributor rotation is counterclockwise. The firing order provided by the poster above me, is for 5.8L or 5.0L H.O. engines. A 1989 model year Lincoln Town Car is equipped with a 5.0L NON-H.O. engine. Hope this helps.
