This is a trick question! Hydrogen bombs were never used in warfare, and test have been done on the ground, not by dropping them from airplanes.
But in 1966 a B-52 dropped a live hydrogen bomb over a village in Spain called Palomeres. This happened after an in-air refueling accident in which the B-52 and the tanker both crashed.
You can read about it here:

The most powerful bomb ever to be tested, known as the Tsar ( it was a hydrogen bomb ) was dropped out of an Aircraft, which was obviously Russian, so don't know the name of the Aircraft that dropped it.

Most hydrogen bomb tests were underground or underwater, but several, especially in the 40's and 50's were air dropped to conduct high altitude tests.
The US used B-29's and B-52's.
The British used Vickers Valiant bombers during their Grapple tests.
The Chinese used Hong-6 bombers
The Russians used Tuplev TU-95's. The following link is a video of the largest nuke ever tested, dropped from a TU-95 during the Tsar Bomba test. It had a 50 megaton yield.

The French never used aircraft, relying on balloons to lift them to the appropriate height.
Every other country that has tested did underground testing only.

Apparently more than most people here think. Do a web search on H-bomb tests and you'll find there have been quite a few test drops with detonations. There have also been several accidental drops and crashes of bomb-laden aircraft.
Airborne alert, what a concept.

Sorry dr stranglove, that was not an H-bomb. Just a little bitty A-bomb. H or Hydrogen bombs were tested in the South Pacific by the U.S. The first ones were dropped by B-29s. Almost every strategic bomber that has flown for the U.S. since WWII has dropped one of them. They have never been used in war.
I know the Soviet Union tested H-bombs, but I don't know their method of delivery during their tests.

There has never been a hydrogen bomb dropped out of a plane. The only hydrogen bombs ever detonated were detonated on land.

B-52s have carried them on training missions but none has ever been dropped. However, there is a B-52 that is encased in ice off the coast of Greenland with an H Bomb on board but will stay encased in ice forever.
