I have the same problem and I have tried many techniques to solve this problem and, what I found that works is, taking a shower with cold water with bar soap, not liquid soap and using a creme, not a lotion , but a creme to apply to your body. In the summer I use Eucrene creme, but in the winter, I use Vaseline, at times in the summer, I still use Vaseline, it really works wonders. Hope that helps! :D

If you drink a lot of soda/pop and caffine you will want to rehydrate your skin with water.. Drink plenty of it 8-10 glasses a day.... You will also want to start a skin care program.. Use a gentle exfoliater in the shower... I like St. Ives for sensitive skin try using that once a week and if the dry skin still persists use it 2x a week.. You then want to use a gentle cleanser. I like Cetaphil creamy clenser.. I use that 2x a day, but at night I use it as a moisturiser as well, I apply a thin layer and tissue it off.... That should help.. I also moisturise my skin... Good luck

This is going to sound odd, but you should use baby or tanning oil. It makes my skin really soft. Then, when you shower, it is so easy to shave because your legs are soft...and you can wash the oil off in the shower...

After a shower apply some lotion.

You have to try to lotion your skin throughout the day as well, especially in the summer, because the sun will dry it out....

I also have dry skin, and I order these face creams from Avon and they work for me. Don't use soap to wash your face, and if you wear make-up during the day, you might wanna try something oily.
