You don't need financial support to go to a military academy, the military pays the whole thing and you pay them back by joining the military for 8 years.

Keep your grades up in HS. Play sports. Contribute to extracuricular activities.

Ask your Congressman for a referal in your junior year and again in your senior year.

Perhaps you should clarify if you mean a Military Academy for high school, a private military academy such as VMI, or a service military academy like West Point, etc.

If you go to a US military academy your service to the country pays your education. You do not need to pay for college at the academies.

I'm going into my third year at a military academy. You do have to pay for the school, unless you get a scholarship with your branch of choice. Then you pick your M.O. You must keep your college scholarships for them to pay for it. If you comission, you go in as a base ranked officer. If not, you can always enlist, but I wouldn't advise that route. ROTC is not a requirement for you to go to a military academy. They will train you when you get there.

Are you in R.O.T.C. in school? If not, then you might want to join. If you have a good record with that through high school they can get you scholorships and grants and lead you in the direction you are wanting to go. If you are not interested in the R.O.T.C. then you could always go talk to the instructors and ask their assistance with your question. Have you googled "military academy financial support"? Are your parents aware of your plan or is this something you want to research to present to them? If you need more help you can go to your local library and talk to the librarian and he/she may be able to lead you in the correct direction also.
Good luck and I admire your choice!
