Hi, I need help with itunes.... my daughter got her ipod back when version 6 was only available... since then we have deleted it and installed 7.2 or whatever the newest version is.. and it will not install.. we have spent several hours on and off for days on this... is there a way to get an older version that actually works... the 6.0 will not reinstall without problems... I hate that Ipod.. I have a mp3 and no problems at all EVER... I quess my question is what is the MOST simple to install and the version without problems.. we only need it for songs.. she will have to do without the videos etc. I have read that many people are having this same problem with the same frustration.

Error messages would be helpful, however if you are installing this on a Windows PC you could try following suggestions found here http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93976. For MAC OS X install look here http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301349.

Never had a problem installing iTunes.

Do you get error messages or anything useful to help you with?

You don't need to remove the older version of iTunes, just upgrade.

Have you tried going to an Apple store and speaking with the folks at the genius bar?
