A couple of other people have suggested it too - but go and give Maxim a try. I didn't think it would work for me because I've been known to soak through 2 shirts or more on most days. I always had to wear dark clothes and layer (which made me sweat even worse), but then I tried this stuff. It's about $15 on their website, which sounds expensive until you figure that this one little bottle can easily last you 2-3 months. You put it on at night, and let it dry before you put clothes on, because it might discolor the clothes while it's wet. It won't wash off in the shower the next morning, and it really does keep you from sweating so bad! When I first tried it I had to keep running to the bathroom to check my pits because I figured I would normally have huge pit stains...but I was BONE dry!! They also have these wipes for sensitive skin that they say you can use on other areas of the body too. Give it a try!!!

When I was in middle school, I had the same problem and I eventually grew out of it. It is called hyperhidrosis.
What worked for me though is a product called Maxim. You will probably have to order it online, and one bottle is only $13.95 and lasts 2-3 months. Here's a couple links:

You apply it at night (weird, huh?) and then you can also apply regular antiperspirant in the morning. And some people don't even have to apply it every day (I only had to once a week!). It is the strongest thing out there that I could find!
It works wonderful! A total lifesaver! My armpits were totally dry all day long! And you can use it anywhere! The box says that you can use it on palms, feet, forehead, etc. Try it!

i had this same problem growing up. Just stick to the deodorant that keeps you fresh smelling. because your body is going through a change you cant really do anything about it. my problem i had quit just as i hit 18 or 19. i am 24 now and i am sure my body is done changing for now and haven't had the problem since. try sticking to shirts that are black or maybe even thin with a tank under neath it wont eliminate completly but it will help a little.

i'm 14 and sometimes it seems like i sweat a lot too. if your mom wears men's then try men's non-smelly kind. the men's deoderant will make you smell like a guy, so make sure you buy the non-perfumed kind. it also could be horomones kicking in, the whole teenage problem thing. Just hang in there girl. also, there are certain types of sweat-proof clothes...wear them while you work out. also, avoid wearing colors like sky blue, medium colored pinks, basically stick with black and white and it won't show...also a REALLY light color might work too. Get the shirt wet and it will show you how much your sweat will show. good luck!

I bought my daughter a product off the internet called Maxim (I think) as she was having the same problem. It did better than anything in the stores. It was about $15 - not too bad. After her hormones settled down she was ok, but she used it for about 2 years. Her clothes used to be ruined because of the underarm stains. Give it a try.

I have this problem too.. I use lady mitchum gel and I keep one in my purse/diaper bag.. I also keep baby wipes with me, but if I feel really sweaty I go to the restroom and wipe down my armpits and reapply my deoderant... That helps. Also, sweat doesn't smell it's when it's mixed with bacteria is when it smells. So, as long as you don't smell it's not a bad thing....

I have seen on the Tyra Banks show...a woman that had the same problem. They recommended Botox treatments in the glands. It can be very pricey but from what I understand it really works. GOOD LUCK!

first of all... it helps not to worry about it. really, just dont think about it. everyone has a problem, yours is sweating- no big deal. me too. you're not alone. i know its annyoing to just be sitting in class and be sweaty- but its only you that notices. alright? as long as you wear deo. and smell good- you're all set. some people sweat more than others thats all. Don't worry about it, really! it does help you. stress makes you sweat more. good luck! and trust me, highschool is NOT that big of a deal. its just a school.
