I have always liked the poem 'Footsteps' because it implys that God carried me when I needed help.

It seems like I have been in this self imposed pity party lately and it is making me sick to death.

Let's just shed the negativity and focus on some good. AND focus on others and not just myself. I hate it when I let the past screw with me because it is over.

Thank you to all of you who care about me. You made me smile from the inside for a change.

I am heading to the swimming pool to get some sun and some exercise.

Hugs to you.

I need self pity. SOMEONE has to feel sorry for me, and I do it so well.

Glad to hear you have found your quiet smile, the one we share with only ourselves. That's more fun than pity.

Have fun swimming! I try to swim 1/2-1 mile every day.

I also dislike self-pity. There is little we can control in life, but we can control our attitudes. I choose to have a good one and to look at things in a happy light.
Negativity will only bring you down.

Yes. I do but I prefer Robert Frost's poem "The Road Less Traveled" It teaches us not to pity our selves but to get up and make the best of life in our own terms. You have the strength within yourself.

We all long to be symbolically carried sometimes. No one can take that step but me, of course. Moral support is what that poem means to me.

Oh, have fun! It's raining here, otherwise I might go swimming too. It's been way too long since I went swimming.

I've always hated that poem, because it belittles and is dismissive of man's ability to manage just fine on his own, thank you very much....

Sun and exercise are always good things. If you're feeling down on yourself, remember you're the only one, because we all love ya. ;)
