start at ends and work to the center..
center out to reinstall

Such a long cyl head it really does unless it has been machined thin before there is only so much shims you can pile under the camshaft towers. circle around from the outside to the inside loosening the bolts only with a cold engine. tighten in three steps from inside to outside. Measure carefully to see how thin the cyl head is. Do not go below minium because you will never get the cam chain to run quiet.
