This is weird and I am not sure that this is the correct category to ask this question but here goes.......ok, I am 27yrs old, married with 2 children and my mother was murdured 23yrs ago. The man that killed her was never caught but I have been working with a PI to locate the man........so I have been working on this. Even though I didn't know my mother her death has affected me greatly and I think of her everyday, especially now that I have a daughter...I was just wondering what you thought about this....my son is 2 and i tell him that he has 3 grandmas, my mom, my mil and my step-mom and i have showed him pics of my mom, well sometimes out of the blue he will say grandma marta is working...and unfortunatly her boyfriend murdered her at her work....well then yesterday it was my daughters first birthday and before bed i thought of my mom and told her that i hoped she watched over her only grandkids and that today was her grand daughters birthday and that is she was here with us

and yes, I probably need counseling but not because of my question. I was 4 when my mother was murdered, i was sent with my dad and his new wife and my older brother went with his dad, i still have not met my brother, my step-mother was very jealous of me and she was abusive physically and mentally....i was married at 20 and at 24 when i was pregnant with my 1st child my husband left me for another woman....so yes, i need counseling but for those things...i was just wondering what you guys thought about that since we are hispanic and we tend to be very supersticious yet i still try to be logical and maybe it is me hoping that my mother is there, if only to comfort me for a little bit but i have notciced my son talk about my mother out of the blue and then the light has been broken for ever and then now works with no problem...my husband believes in spirts and although i would like to i have always been a little skeptical...but i just thought how weird that the light now works..

i am sorry to hear about your mom,i am a person that does not believe in coincidence and think possibly you are missing your mom and hoping in some way she might be trying to make some kind of contact with you, as hard as it may be you will have to accept her death and move on with you and your childrens life

Coincidence. In incandescent bulbs the bulb burns out if the filament breaks. But sometimes the filament flops back into place because of vibrations and such, so the current can flow through it again. I hardly think that can be mistaken as a Sign from Beyond.

And "grasping at straws" means you're trying to grab onto the slightest shreds of evidence to prove what you're thinking.

I wish I could tell you differently, but it is coincidence. I cannot guarantee you that she is not watching over you and your daughter, but I can guarantee you that there is no direct intervention between God or the dead and this world. If you look into it, you will find a natural cause as to why the light came on. It may mean talking to an electrician or someone with knowledge of such things, but there is a natural explanation. However, if it makes you feel better, don’t look into it and just say that it was your mother. That is what most religious people do in such situations.

Peace. Love. Good Luck.

Well, first I'd get the wiring checked to make sure you don't have a short. That could be dangerous and start your house on fire. (Does the light work now? I mean - can you turn it on and off all of a sudden?) Once you rule that out - and you're 100% sure you didn't turn it on by accident - then you could explore other options.

I believe that because of their innocence that children know things and see things that they would not know otherwise.
My grandmother was killed in a horrific accident with an 18 wheeler before I was born. My sister who is a year and a half younger than I am had never seen a picture of our grandmother before was about two(my father was in the military and my mother left a lot of personal belongings with her family while they were temporarily stationed elsewhere)
when my mother was going through a box of photo's my sister saw a picture of my grandma and said "That's Grandma, I play with her." There is no choice but to believe that she had somehow seen our grandmother.
If your kids have told you things about your mother they would not otherwise know that is your sign, not the light suddenly working

What kind of coincidence can make a broken light work correctly? I personally have never seen a ghost or spirit, but I have seen things done by them, while I was in the same room and trying to associate with them. My mother has seen her father's ghost and he spoke to her. So, to answer your question, yes I do believe.

It is a sign of dangerously faulty wiring. Get it checked and fixed immediately, or you continue to risk an electrical fire.

It is very possible that your Mom is now your daughter. Ask her things. Children often have vivid memories of past lives because they haven't been here long enough to forget.

I am a believer in this stuff and not a whole lot of people agree with me on it. Oh well, to each his own.

I told you, most people are skepical of this.

Ask her questions? You'll know.

Children can see things some can't. It's not strange. As long as they are safe, it's nothing to worry about. She's just visiting.

I could easily explain it away to myself with logical, natural causes, but since I believe in the spirit energy, I could also easily believe that your mother played a role.

Whatever it means to you is all that matters.
