We don't have "the" in Chinese language. If we want to refer to something mention before, we usually add 'this" or "that" in front of the "object" we are talking about.

Yep it doesn't exist. It's a very simple language and you just say 'look dog' instead of 'look at the dog' for example. Chinese has no word for 'the' or 'yes' and very little prepositions which means it's a grammar haven!
